There are animal crackers...
...and "Animal Crackers."
In case you missed it, and I did, yesterday was National Animal Crackers Day. I always enjoy a sweet treat, especially one that has such happy memories of childhood. I can't remember the last time I had an animal cracker -- or watched "Animal Crackers," but they both hold wonderful fun memories. While poking around pinterest I found many recipes for home made animal crackers. Have any of the terrific bakers in Buttercupland made them? I think it would be a fun project with children and grandchildren.
Sweet wishes for animal cracker and cupcake dreams!

I loved these as a kid, but I can't believe how expensive they are now!
I used to love Animal Crackers when I was a child. Sadly you can't get them over here.
I have animal crackers in my pantry! Love eating them for a small crunchy snack! I didn't know it was THEIR day, I would have celebrated:) Have a blessed day my friend, HUGS!
Animal crackers are a lot of fun. Strange I hadn't thought to get some for my grandchildren in quite awhile. I remember my own children used to love having their own little box to carry around with them.
Hope your Friday is a fantastic one!
I love them too...slightly sweet...thanks for a delightful memory recalled Buttercup♥
You know those are pretty good for a diet - they taste good and low calorie - and I had some last night! lol sandie
I have always loved animal crackers. To have your own little box, what a treat. Smiles to you, Susie
Yum----a great childhood memory.

Hope to see you soon at Dreaming.

I eat these as snacks because they are fairly low in sugar! I can remember carrying around the little box with the string handle when I was little.
I hope you enjoy every minute of your weekend!
LOVE BOTH - Animal Crackers - the cookies AND the movie . . I didn't realize they had their own day - BUT, it makes me super happy to be reminded.
i am grateful for you in the world.
