I would have bet $100. that the verse from the bible that described the time of peace that is to come was the phrase, "the lion shall lie down with the lamb." But my friends, it doesn't. The verses come from Isaiah 11:6 and they're similar, but the mention of the lion comes later, "and the calf and the lion and the fatling together." Peace has been on my mind these days and the image of the lion and the lamb have been stuck in my mind and prayers, even if my knowledge of the verse is muddled. My prayers have been for all who are suffering in the disaster taking place halfway across the world.
Muddled or not, my prayers are prayers for peace. They're prayers for friends in Israel, and friends and family of friends, and for all in the region who suffer and who seek peace.
There's been an awful lot that's been muddled, lost and tragic in the search for peace and my greatest prayer is that one day very soon all that has been muddled is made clear and we will see "the leopard (will) lie down with the kid."

"Peace has been on my mind these days..."
This turn of phrase was like a great balm on a wound. Peace has been on my mind. Those are life-giving words!
Praying for peace here too. Wars are such a terrible things.. There is no war here, but we have people being killed by guns all the time. Peace on earth is much needed everywhere, not just in war zones, bur here too.
Yes, we need to pray for peace. It’s heartbreaking to see what’s happening.
I hope you are well, dear friend. Its been a long time since we’ve had a chat!
The recent world events are weighing heavily on our news and on my mind too. Your post struck the right chord with me Carol, I'm with you and your hope for peace.
