It's Christmas at the Biltmore and in New York, too, for just a few more hours
For this next to the last Pink Saturday post of 2022, we're returning to the beautiful Biltmore Estate in Asheville, North Carolina. I could post dozens of photographs of the decorations, but I've chosen four that I especially like, and I hope that you will enjoy them, too.
The photo at the top of this page is my favorite of all the almost fifty "Biltmore Christmas" photographs I saved. I love the light on the beautiful decorations. It's not the most sumptuous scene, but it's calm and lovely and so soothing in the rush of holiday errands and running around. I'd love to be sitting by the tree and drinking a cup of cocoa and enjoying the lights. Actually it's exactly what I did with friends last night, minus the hot cocoa. The best addition to my Christmas Eve happiness was a fire in the fireplace and being with dear friends.
The tree is lovely, but the garlands of ribbons and greens on the stairs are my favorite detail.
I adored the mantels and this was one of my favorites for the arrangement of the greens.
This would be quite the setting for writing holiday cards, though I think I might be sidetracked when I looked out of the window and saw the beauty of the grounds of the estate.
Yes, it's Buttercup capturing the beauty of the Biltmore. I was enamored with the details, which in this room includes the small Christmas tree on the dresser.
And it's Buttercup once again wishing my dear blog friends joy, happiness and good health. My wish is not just for today, but every day until next Christmas. I hope your day was bright with family, friends and good times.
As ever, thanks for visiting and take good care of yourselves. Keep cozy!
