On Christmas Eve

The Biltmore in Asheville, North Carolina

I enjoyed the splendor and beauty of the Biltmore decorated for Christmas, but I'm grateful for every big and little thing with which I'm blessed.  Thank you, dear blog friends, for all your warmth and support through this year and the years past. I can't imagine my life without Buttercupland.

Our homes aren't the Biltmore, but in gratitude for homes and light and heat and family and friends. In gratitude for candles and hot chocolate and smiles and hugs and getting together in person, and more gratitude for smiles and hugs.

I will be back Christmas night with more photographs from the Biltmore. Until then enjoy Christmas Eve and have a very merry  Christmas, with all the happiness your hearts can hold.

That is such a lovely place to visit. Hopefully it's warmer there than it is here. I haven't been this cold in I can't remember when. Enjoy the trip and Have a Happy Christmas at home.

We went there a few years ago. It was not Christmas but still beautiful as always. Did you get to eat in the restaurant downstairs? We were impressed at how delicious it was - - at least on our trip. I may have told you there is a light romantic, historical fiction called Maid to Match by Deeanne Gist that is quite interesting regarding the building and working of the Biltmore House. It is one you might want to consider while inside the house a bit more on bad weather days,
Speaking of bad weather - - where do you walk to get your steps on those days if you can't go outside?

Thank you for reminding us what's truly important. Grateful for these things ... and of course, your friendship across the miles.
Merry Christmas, Carol!
