Pink Saturday Goes Shopping

After all of our cold and snow last week had supremely sunny days. I chose one of them to be a tourist in New York City and spend some time in midtown. I visited Rockefeller Center and window shopped on Fifth Avenue. Even if I'm not traveling to distant places, I'm enjoying visiting some of the legendary sights in New York. I took a lot of pictures and will be doing blog posts about some of the places I especially enjoyed.

I'm always on the lookout for Pink Saturday posts and I found this week's post at the Versace Store on Fifth Avenue. They created an all pink window just for me.

I don't actually shop at Versace, but I definitely window shop at Versace.

I couldn't walk two steps in these shoes, but they're fun to photograph.

There's also a blue window, with more practical attire. No fear, I'm still window shopping.

The Peanuts sneaker!

I found my favorite picture of the day while I was waiting for the bus. I turned around to see the store in back of where I was standing and saw the perfect Pink Saturday picture, the Peanuts tennis shoe. I'm kind of in love with it, but since the least expensive pair I saw on eBay was $285.00, I think it will be an unrequited love.

Amazingly, tomorrow is March 1. The days are getting longer -- Yay! -- and though we may still have cold days, the longest part of the winter is behind us. I'm on the lookout for spring flowers, more sunshine and more tourist trips around the city.

As ever, thanks for visiting and take good care.

I, too, am in love with the Lucy tennis shoes!! They are brilliant! And as always, I so much enjoy wndow shopping with you. It amazes me how much artistic talents go into deorating a window. But I guess the first thing is to really catch a person's eye, and they sure know how to do that. New York windows are THE perfect subject for blogging!

I like those pink peanut sneakers too, but $285 is a bit above my budget. They sure are cute thought. I love seeing the windows of NYC through your eyes. Looks like you had a beautiful sunny day to be a "tourist." Have a great week.

New York looks empty as compared to other times. However, it still looks wonderful.

I don’t think I could take one step in those high heels and even if I could, why would I want to do that. Snoopy sneakers are so much more cool.

How can anyone walk in shoes with heels that high? And yes the Lucy pink sneakers are really cute.

I love the pictures of your window shopping. They are beautifully displayed. Here we don't see many windows to shop in any more. Thanks always for sharing. I too am loving the longer days and know that soon Spirng will be here. Then we can shop for Spring Easter bonnets!

The Peanuts shoe featuring Lucy is adorable! I love the original Peanuts gang. Such pretty pink pictures - with a little blue thrown in for balance!

Wow, I won't be buying any of those little sneakers either. I do love the colorful window displays though. Enjoy your walks downtown, hugs, Edna B.

If those stores have displays in them, do they feel secure, that no more Riots and Looting are coming?

But then, how can they know this?

Rioters will riot... When ever they feel like it.

How considerate of the Versace store in doing that pink display so you could include it here! The tennis shoes are cute, but I will stick with my well worn pair of New Balance shoes.
