Happy birthday to the Little Garden Around the Corner
Actually this pretty little garden is down the block and not around the corner. I pass it often and always enjoy the bright colors and variety of flowers. During one of my walks yesterday I noticed that the garden was celebrating its twenty fifth birthday, an occasion well worth celebrating on Pink Saturday.
Thank you for the many flowers and many colors, beautiful!
We are nearing the end of September and the end of the Buttercupland Walking Challenge. If you're a friend of Buttercupland and you've walked a mile at least 25 days of September, you're part of the challenge. I'll be posting on October 1 , and you'll be able to post your mileage. My goal for September is 80 miles and I've walked 73.1 miles, as of yesterday. I hope I've had lots of walking company this month.
As ever, thanks for visiting and take good care.

While I have not Taken an active part in the walking challenge by not tracking my walks, I have been out and about as well. It's nice that you have been seeing such lovely colors and blooms on your outings around the city.
This is such a cheerful and pretty little garden! Something to lift your spirits as you are walking by.
What beautiful gardens! I wish I would have known about your walking challenge, I would have joined in.
I have found that flowers and gardens are at their most beautiful towards the end of their season. They have learned to sustain all that Mother Nature has thrown at them and are still here to show their colors.
I have averaged around 2 1/2 miles a day. My goal was always more, but alas, the weather wasn’t always cooperative and the humidity brought me down. One day I was able to do five and that made up for the next day when I only did one.
Lovely flowers. Frost has gotten most flowers around here except chrysanthemums. Color coming from the trees now. I've been tracking my miles.
Flowers do make such a difference and it's great two know one has been going on for 25 years. They certainly do brighten our days. Soon they'll be coming to an end, but right now they are making the most of their brightness . Thankfully some colorful leaves will take their place. Fall is such a beautiful time of year. We get the best of summer cheer and the cooler weather to enjoy.
I am old...I am in poor health...for over one year and more, I have done 5-6 miles per day with steps...never missing so far...I will love being a part of this challenge. I walk outside-often with cane...I step to NYC videos, LONDON, Stratford upon Avon, etc. inside...keep writing this lovely blog...
I just love those little gardens that the neighbors have planted. It really does brighten up the day to see all these beautiful colors. I can't do the walking, but I wish you luck on meeting your goal. You have a wonderful day, hugs, Edna B.
What lovely flowers! So special to have such beauty as you walk on that challenge. I’ve probably made at least a mile a day during 25 days in September; Fitbit could tell me! Sending hugs your way!
Flowers bring a smile to my face, when I see them in my yard or posts like this in pictures:) Thanks for sharing and I sure hope you have a blessed day, HUGS!
The flowers are welcome to see. I added up my miles so far and came out a little over 60...I feel like that's not as many as I thought. Made me feel a little discouraged! lol But the weather is improving so hopefully I can do better next month. You've done GREAT! Hugs!
Such pretty flowers!
Since school has been back in session, my steps have increased
immensely. Tabulated my miles a bit ago and I am currently right
with you. It will be interesting to see my total at the end of the
month.
