All Around New York City Pink Saturday Overview

I do know it's Sunday and it's a snowy Sunday night. I've had two days of fun, especially today, which kept me away from the computer. But I'm happy to be back with a few pictures of New York City at Christmas time and to join in the fun at Pink Saturday.

Today was a complete New York City at Christmas time day. I met my dear friend Lonni -- our friendship dates from fifth grade and Girl Scouts -- and we had lunch at one of the restaurants at Rockefeller Center, enjoyed the Christmas tree and lights and saw the Radio City Christmas show. We also talked, laughed and took in all of the sights.

One of my favorite store windows which we passed on our way to Radio City. I've got a few of these pretty dolls on my mantel, too.

Always a favorite sight on Sixth Avenue.

Please don't worry, there's more to come on all of these topics. I've got pictures of all of my snowmen, bears and dolls, lots of Rockefeller Center pictures -- the Christmas tree is extraordinary -- and two blog posts for the Radio City show. Yes, it was that much fun.

I hope all of you who are surrounded by ice and snow are keeping warm and safe. I can hear the snow plow rumbling by, but so far the snow is only sticking to cars and the streets are clear. I'm about to boil water for a cup of peppermint tea, light a candle and make some visits around BlogLand, which makes just about a perfect evening. As always, thanks for stopping by and take good care of yourself!

Love the pretty dolls and everything on your mantle.

Those big red ball ornaments are striking, resting in the water. You know all the good spots for a NYC Christmas tour, I can see.

My family and I (all 14 of us) plan to be there in two weeks. There is nothing like Christmas in New York.

What fun you had with your friend! I'd love to see the Radio City Shoe! We have lots of rain here, no snow or ice.

Hi Carol, I love the city around Christmas time too and I love to visit the tree. I remember when you could stand under the tree with now barricades blocking it! Too bad someone tried to set it on fire! I was in the city yesterday shopping by 34th Street and Macy's. Take care. Julie at Julie's Lifestyle

I love Christmas in NY through your eyes. Since our son no longer lives in CN I probably won't get to see it in person again. I'm still posting about thanksgiving.... I'd better get caught up with the calendar . Have a cozy week and enjoy the peppermint tea. Aren't you glad that you don't have to get out in the cold each morn to go to work! Retirement is even better in the winter. Hug, Lura

It is a perfect day to be in and sipping tea. Too cold for me to much outside at all. Hope your week is off to a great start. Happy Monday!

Hi Carol,
What a fun post.
We've never been to NYC. I've only seen pictures and t.v programs about Christmas time there.
Seeing your pictures, really made it all more real for me. Thank you!!
Maybe one of these days, we will see NYC at Christmas time for ourselves.

Warm wishes...
K.
