...and he's bringing a giveaway!
One of the very fun parts of yesterday's show at Radio City Music Hall were the scenes with Santa Claus. My pictures on my cell phone from the second mezzanine don't do them justice, but I think I captured the good times.
The staging and sets were terrific. Radio City seats thousands of people, but even from our seats we could see the show very well. There were lots of wonderful special effects, including two 3-D movies.
Infinite Santas singing and dancing...
...and more Santas on the side tiers of the theater.
Santa has asked me conduct a giveaway on his behalf. I am happy to host a giveaway of Donna Kauffman's "Pelican Point, The Bachelors of Blueberry Cove." Santa brought me two copies and I am glad to share one with my Buttercupland buddies. I haven't read it, but it looks like fun reading for a winter afternoon. Please leave a comment for this post and be a friend of Buttercupland via Bloglovin', Google+ or Google Friend. Last entry is midnight, Sunday December 15 and I'll announce the winner on Monday, December 16. Santa would love to do this himself, but he's really busy next week and I like being Santa's elf.
I've had a quiet day today, but I needed some time to rest and catch up after all of yesterday's adventures. I hope everyone is keeping warm and cozy. As always, thanks so much for visiting and take good care of yourself.

Hi Carol, I love the show at Radio City and it's dancing Santa's too! It really set off the holiday season and gets you in such a good mood! I'm so glad you had a fun day and thanks for sharing photos!
The book looks like it will be a good read on a chilly cold afternoon or evening. I like books like this and it looks like a fun and easy read. It looks like a nice love story taking place in Maine.
What a fun giveaway you are offering and thanks for the chance to win. I hope you enjoy the holidays.

What neat Santas! It sounds like a wonderful show!
The book sounds like it is just the thing for a winter afternoon. I follow your blog and look forward to it.
That's a lot of Santas! I love that background in the first photo. I went to Radio City one time, many years ago, and loved it.
Thanks for doing the giveaway. Sounds like a good read!
Your pictures are great, Carol :) Looks like lots of fun! I hope your week is going well, lovely lady.
I have fond memories of taking my children to Radio City to see the Christmas show and someday I hope to go with my grandchildren. They will have to be a little older, of course! ;)
I miss NYC at Christmas time as I enjoyed seeing all the events there so much. I'm happy making new traditions here, at least I will be when it warms up a little this week..lol. The deep freeze has kept me in!
aren't you lucky Radio City Music Hall-your photos are great! I walked by the entry once, what a wonderful opportunity to live so close to so many wonderful places and events.
Your pictures are terrific!
I took my granddaughter to the Radio City show two years ago and she loved it. It is a wonderful memory for us both.
Keep enjoying the holidays and sharing the wonders of NY with us.
My Niece is visiting your City and going to see the Rockettes tomorrow night! I wish I were there also! Thanks for hosting the giveaway:) Have a blessed day dear friend, HUGS!
Wow!! an extravaganza . . Looks like it really "'Tis The Season!"
love & love to YOU!
Buttercup, I have only seen the rockettes on tv. I absolutely love them, ever since I first saw them in the parades at Thanksgiving on tv. I know it's different girls and routines but they are wonderful...every last one of them. It is Christmas watching them or any Nutcracker ballet, or any symphony orchestra...for me . :):) Be careful when going out, nasty weather is being predicted for your area. xoxo,Susie
Dear Carol, Radio City brings back fond memories. MY mom would take me to see the show when I was a little girl. We would have such fun.
I did not realize just how many people it seats!!
Glad to see you are enjoying the Christmas season.
Blessings dear. Catherine xo
That sounds like such fun!
You lucky girl.
Looks like a fun show, and a wonderful Christmas time activity!!
Thanks for sharing your pictures with us {esp. as I will most likely not be able to see a show any time in the near future :)}
Warm wishes..
K
