Thinking Thursday...

...and my brain is just about frozen. Yesterday was a whirl of five(!) meetings and today doesn't look much better. I was more Stinkweed than Buttercup by the end of the day. But I have a four day weekend looming and that's only six -- or so -- meetings away. I hope to start "I'm Reading...What are you Reading?" tomorrow. I got a great review in the mail, and I am presently seeking permission from the writer to feature  it. Guest bloggers always welcome!

This weekend I'm going to curl up in a cozy afghan, with a cup of coffee and a really good book. What plans do you have?

Wishes for a sweet Thursday!

Since I'm retired there is rarely a day goes by but that I'm not relaxing with a good book. It's one of those things that I love to do. Glad you have a long weekend ahead of you. Knowing that, maybe those 6 or so meetings won't be so bad.

I love to read! And I love my kindle--especially all the free books I download! Occasionally I treat myself to a book that I pay for. At work at our motherhouse, all of our employees eat lunch in the dining room However, I've started bringing my lunch up to my office so I can have a little more time to read. I don't drive so while I'm waiting for my ride both before and after work--I read.

Reading? Well lets see...3M will be driving me to the library over the weekend and I'm excited as a kid before Christmas, lol.

Happy Four Days Without A Meeting!

That's a good mug.
Enjoy your reading.

I get to teach on Saturdays . . . (color me happy) - rehearse when there are three stars in the sky - and, I'm singing on Sunday across the Missouri River - Most of my weekends look like this . . .

Stinkweed?? You??? Never! Graceful and Gracious - You Are Our Buttercup.
love & love,

Well, my brain feels a little frozen just now. I'm trying to adjust to a new computer after the other one crashed on Saturday morning! Actually, it is going from Apple to a Windows 8 laptop, so there is a big difference. I'd love to sit with a cup of tea and a book. It isn't long until the time of day that I claim for that activity. There is nothing better.

Thanks for the visit and the comment. Glad you enjoyed the trip to Casablanca. As for reading, although I am retired, I never seem to have a chance to read during the day. I do though read for hours at night and then wonder why I wake up so late :)

Keep well Diane

My weekend plans sound the same as yours - cozy up with a book and coffee. One of my favourite things to do! A bubble bath and a book sounds good too :)

Hi Carol, Love your blog! I am your newest follower - thanks for visiting!
Love your weekend plans. I am petsitting two mini dachshunds (my daughters) for the weekend. On top of my own two dogs, two cats and one cockatiel. It's debatable whether my husband dares to come home tonight!

I just read 'In the Shadow of the Banyan'. I highly recommend it. A treat for writer's to read.

Happy weekend to you! xx

Meetings would be fine - - - if they didn't waste time or words in them - - and if things got done that had been decided. Can you tell I didn't think much of many I attended?!!
