I Went Face to Face with My December Nightmare...

...and am pleased to report that I not only survived, but am feeling good. Every year I say that I will not, absolutely not, Christmas shop in the last few days before Christmas, particularly wearing my down coat and boots. Never will I do this again!

And where was I tonight? At Costco, wearing said down coat and boots. I got most, but not all, of the things I needed for the office. I had things in mind, but had to improvise, but I think two colleagues -- and their families -- will like the cute gingerbread house cookie jars. I certainly do. I even got myself a present, the softest, coziest slippers and at a ridiculously good price.

I have some more snow pictures. These were taken yesterday afternoon, before any slush could make the city less attractive. Here is New York in its wintry coating of snow.

Wishes for a wonderful week!

When I heard on the news this morning that the main streets are clear there but the side streets are still pretty much covered, I thought of you in New York. Glad you survived the shopping and hope that you are done now. I love the slippers!

Just love those slippers - you'll be warm in those.

Gee when you see the pictures of snow you're reminded that they have to put that snow somewhere!

Merry Christmas.

Great pics Buttercup! My slippers are almost clones to yours, and they feel so darn good after shopping!
Isn't a heavy coat and boots, just the worse thing to wear when trying to do some serious shopping? They're so heavy, and wear you out!

Boy do you sound like me! Hahahaha! I really would like to be done with all of my shopping the week before Christmas, but this year I find myself once again out the week of trying to do the dash for gifts. However, I actually have my dear husband out with me. Hehehehehe!!!

It is good to see that things are going well for you. As you may have already seen, harvest has kept me very busy and away from the computer. Hopefully I can keep better track of it now. I know shame on me. I so much love reading your blog and miss it when I am away from mine.

Love the slippers!!!! New York is really gorgeous, don't get to see that around these parts here! :)

Hugs and blessings,
Stacey
