Pink Saturday New Year's Eve

It's Pink Saturday for a few more hours and the last day of 2022 for a few more hours

I've had a lovely last day of 2022. I started with in-person services this morning after spending the last few years watching services. I've been slow to go back to in-person services, but I decided that I needed to get back, and it was so worthwhile. I had lunch with dear friends and it really seemed like old times. This is one area of life that I feel that I'm starting off the year with my best foot forward.

Speaking of feet, tomorrow we begin Our Walking Journey 2023. The first step of the day begins our journey. I'll be posting with my progress and updates that may be helpful to all of us who will be walking together virtually. I know that's an oxymoron, but we will be together, but just not in the same place. I've been so pleased to see people indicate that they'll be joining. I'd appreciate if you're commenting as anonymous you'll leave the state you live in or country and province if you're not in the United States. I'm hoping to put a map together of all the places where we live.

The Shops at Columbus Circle

The bright star at the top of page is one of the beautiful decorations at the Shops at Columbus Circle, an upscale indoor mall about a mile and a half from where I live. I'm posting about this mall for two reasons. One is that I love the decorations and two, it's one of the places I like to walk when it's cold or slippery outside. I can walk an easy mile while window shopping. There are places to buy coffee or a snack and bathrooms. The only issue is that it's a mall and it's easy to shop, instead of just exercise. Some of the stores are very pricy, so there's not much temptation, but Sephora, at the far end of the second floor, is always a temptation.

I'll be back tomorrow with my word for 2023. My best wishes for love, happiness, joy and good health. As always, thanks for your friendship and happy, happy new year. See you next year.

Happy 2023! Mall walking is popular here too. Although our mall doesn't have many stores in it anymore, People still continue to go walking there. It is a warm place in the winter time. I do most of my walking in the grocery store and it's always warm and out of the winter weather. That star is a beautiful ornament in your mall and one you can enjoy !

Oh I love to go shopping and look around too - I have been more cautious the last few years. But I do miss it. Happy New Year.

I am not committing to any walking goal but will commit to "moving" whether it is cardio or strength or a flexibility exercise five out of 7 days a week. I will make a chart. I need inches gone for sure as well as the other exercises mentioned. Hopefully - prayerfully my left knee will get happier and I can be on the elliptical again.
I am starting a blessing jar or notebook today. I have read of others doing that. You write down at least one thing to be thankful for each day and review it on Dec 31.
