On the Eighth Day of December

I stayed in the neighborhood and enjoyed the local decorations

This is an outdoor dining area for one of the local restaurants. They decorate for every holiday and it's always fun. I especially enjoyed the dog in the Santa cap and antlers. It's not fancy, but I so enjoyed the whimsy as I did errands this afternoon.

I did have an "event" that took most of the day, but as I wrote yesterday I'm not to post/discuss it until Monday, when it goes "public." I appreciate being part of this and, as excited as I am to share, my lips are sealed (metaphorically speaking) until Monday.

On the eighth day of December I am also starting to fade. After a vigorous start with cards and mailing, I'm barely getting a card written every day. I'm enjoying blogging daily, but I'd forgotten that blogging every day takes a lot of focus, and my focus is thinning, at least today. I'm optimistic that a good night's  sleep -- or as much as I can get -- and a totally unscheduled day will get my energy tank refilled. How are all of you doing?

As ever, thanks for visiting and keep cozy!

Super cute decorations. Love seeing your photo ventures in NY. My heart always feels the most sentimental at this time of the year and your photos fill my heart. Keep posting. All the best with daily blogging. Have a great holiday friend.

A little bit of Christmas nestled in the city!

I can relate to how you feel. I'm in a tizzy here just thinking about all I have to do. I need to slow down and make a list so I don't forget something. My cards will be finished up today, then begins the wrapping of the gifts I'm giving away. I can hardly wait until Monday !

Those decorations certainly make a person's day happier just by viewing them!
It seems to be an epidemic of good plans of accomplishing things this month but the plans are getting derailed by many things including energy leaving us too soon each day as well as the hours in the day flying by too quickly. One of our unscheduled items has involved painting a very small room - - - because we can have our handyman here soon - - - you grab him when you can get him. There was no time for that extra fun - - but it will look good when completed.
Thanks again for the post!

Aw, that little 'chalet' looks mighty inviting. I, too, can't wait to hear your reveal ... lots of guesses going up!

Of course, we are all waiting to see and read about your big reveal, Carol, and hope you will be well rested over the weekend. Daily blogging can be exhausting, which is why I am not doing it, too many other things going on. My card writing has been enjoyable and I am nearly done, ahead of time… and can now bake some cookies.
