Pink Saturday Salutes the Flowers in Spring

I hope I'm always grateful for the flowers in spring

This Pink Saturday is my first spring flower post of 2022, but there will be a number to follow, and I can't wait to take all of the pictures for these posts. I found these beauties walking to the grocery last week and realized spring flower season had officially arrived.

I made my way over to our local community garden and was rewarded with the first daffodils of the season. It wasn't the "crowd of golden daffodils" Wordsworth wrote about (I Wandered Lonely as a Cloud), but they were lovely and a bright spot in the last days of winter and a herald to the first days of spring.

 Early tulip time

I expected the daffodils and the crocus, but the tulips were a huge surprise. I'm planning to be back at the garden this week and hope that the frost tonight won't destroy all of these beauties. Later in the season the garden hosts an extraordinary tulip festival and I will be sure to include it in next month's posts.

I realized I didn't post last week and I'm not sure where the week went. I did devote a good amount of time to seasonal paperwork, i.e., taxes, and also got myself back to the gym. I'm easing in, but still did workouts twice last week.  The week ahead is filled with errands -- packages to mail tomorrow -- and more gym time and plans for a fun excursion (weather cooperating), too.  What's on your agenda for the week?

As ever, thanks for visiting and take care.

Seeing these little beauties pop up gives us such hope for warmer weather and sun filled days! Puts a little skip in your step. :)

How wonderful to see the Spring flowers there. Here we had another round of snow for the weekend and it's below freezing once again. This roller coaster weather has my mood swinging up and down.We only warm up for a day or two and then the temps tumble down again, But it is Spring, so there is hope.

You so lucky to have blooms. Ours wont be blooming for a while. Enjoy your day, hugs, Edna B.

I think I told you that my mom lived in Albany, NY for a lot of years. One of the most beautiful times of year there was when the tulips were in bloom. The park where they were most prolific was also surrounded by original brick streets. She would send pics occasionally.

Beautiful spring blooms!
It's always nice to see the spring flowers and know that winter is starting to say goodbye :)
