First blossoms of (early) spring 2022
On this Pink Saturday, we're officially beginning to look forward to spring. Last Thursday it was sixty plus degrees and I left home my winter coat and boots and ventured out in a spring jacket. One of my stops for the day was at our neighborhood community garden where I found these and a number of other blooms.
Winter returned on Friday evening, gave us the gift of a snow squall on Saturday afternoon and lingered well into today. No snow today, but it was sunny and I got in most of my mileage. February is going to fall short for my Journey of 1000 Miles monthly target(84 miles), but I'm optimistic I'll make up the missing miles in a hopefully sunnier March.
A quick update on my major project for February, my grocery spending. For the first twenty days in February I've spent $170.00. I've got an order for $25.00 that will be delivered on Wednesday and estimate I'll spend another $25.00 before the end of the month. I haven't skimped on anything I needed/wanted, but I have been thoughtful. I visited a different Target across town and discovered that a few of my regular purchases were 25% less expensive, so I'll be going somewhat out of my way at least once a month to take advantage of the better prices. Has anyone else been tracking their grocery spending?
Tomorrow we'll be revisiting some fun Monkey Monday memories. I hope you'll stop by.
As ever, thanks for visiting and have a great week.

Spring is just around the corner here in our part of Texas! No green on the tress yet but any day now......
As I look out on about 40 cm of snow in my backyard, it's safe to day that spring is not going to arrive early this year!
We had lovely spring-like temperatures and sunny skies last week, but a big snowstorm is expected here today. I loved the picture of the flowers on your last post. I hope you have a good day today and enjoy the week ahead. I will see you again soon!
Spring is trying to peek out here in Alabama! We will have some more chilly days but we are beginning to see early spring flowers and buds on tree limbs.
We're seeing signs of Spring here too. And yes, I keep up with expenses but I don't want to talk about it! lol Everything has gone up so much these past few months!
How nice to see something blooming again. I haven't seen any flowers but after our recent warm weather, the grass is looking brilliant green. Nice sight for sore eyes. After all the white and sometimes dingy snow. Green grass is a beautiful sight !
Our grocery bill has been pretty high lately. There are empty shelves around here but I have been able to keep our pantry/fridge full. We eat at home all of the time and it makes for an expensive grocery bill but still cheaper than eating out. We are enjoying some Spring-like days here with a brief spurt of cold temps returning next week. Enjoy your day dear friend, HUGS!
