Pumpkin Treat Foodie Friday

One of the benefits of going to the gym, besides the obvious fitness ones, is its proximity to Whole Foods. Some things are pricey, but I like their own brands and enjoy finding new and interesting items. I don't always, or even often, buy my discoveries, but I do like the samples.

Yesterday they outdid themselves with great samples. The one that sticks with me the most and one I will go back and buy is Pumpkin Pie Soda. It's made by a company called Maine Root, which makes handcrafted beverages. I've been cutting down on my soda drinking, but I am going to splurge with a four pack of this flavor. The sample was served with a spoonful of vanilla ice cream and it made the best float I have ever had. It tasted like pumpkin pie in a glass topped with ice cream. So far, it's the best of pumpkin treats I've tried this year.

A not-too-be missed pumpkin treat

I also enjoyed this maple pumpkin butter. It was served as a garnish to a tiny pancake and it was delicious. The pancake mix was a little fancier than I usually use, but I think it would make the plainest pancakes special. I'll be going back for this, too.

A treat any time of year

There's something in this display for everyone

I'm not an ale drinker, but I liked the look of this display

I hope you've enjoyed our pumpkin menu this Foodie Friday. I know I enjoyed the sampling. Buttercupland pumpkin fans, what's your pumpkin favorite?

As always, thanks for visiting and take good care!

I'm not much for pumpkin anything but Mr. Ken is. We took the kids from school on a field trip to the pumpkin patch ans they sell pumpkin donuts.
Everyone buys them except me.

Great pics.

I'm not much for pumpkin flavored food or drinks but we're enjoying some of the Octoberfest beers right now. They have such good flavor! Enjoy your weekend! Hugs!

Love these pumpkin choices! We just baked one that "volunteered" in the garden; will make pumpkin french toast in the morning! The "juice" that came as it baked (cut side down) is as sweet as honey, so will use it for sugar-free syrup!

Dear Carol. My daughter likes pumpkin EVERYTHING!! She recently made pumpkin butter and it really was good.
My favorite is the classic pumpkin pie.
It sounds like a great time shopping at whole foods. I have never been to this store, but would like to try it.
Have a beautiful weekend. Blessings dear. Catherine xo

PUMPKIN PIE SODA sounds delicious. By all means pick up a pack and savor every mouthful.

I never drink soda, but do like pumpkin flavor, and I shop at Whole Foods once a week, since like your WF, our WF is very near my gym. We buy milk there since it is about a dollar cheaper than most stores, and deli meat that does not have nitrates or MSG.

Wow. I love the way Americans love pumpkin! The other week I did buy a small pumpkin and made some pumpkin soup. It was lovely!
I hope you are having a wonderful weekend!

Buttercup, I like pumpkin spice lattes. Edy's makes a nice pumpkin flavored ice cream....can't get enough. It's funny how I like the flavor of pumpkin but am not a big pumpkin pie eater. I love pumpkin bread best. xoxo,Susie

I came really close to ordering the pumpkin pancakes at breakfast today!
... More sensible, perhaps, my one-a-year foray to Starbucks for their p-latte. Tom's not a fan, poor soul. :)

That maple-pumpkin butter looks wonderful!

I don't think I have ever tried that or Pumpkin Butter. I did buy some Pumpkin Ale/ October ale from Sam Adams. Great post, thanks for sharing. Blessings

I wish I had a Whole Foods convenient to me! I have heard so many people talk about shopping there! I am not a fan of pumpkin. That is probably a good thing since there are so many tasty treats this time of year with pumpkin tastes:) Enjoy your week ahead dear friend, HUGS!
