Thankful in April...The Bounty of the Earth

I am thankful for oranges. You were my "go-to" fruit all winter...

But I am delighted to welcome the berries to the fruit market!

Blueberries, I am so happy to see you! Melons, we're waiting for you!

This is one of the local groceries. I always enjoy the fruit displays in front of the markets and wanted to share it with all of you. I usually buy fruit and vegetables at the little markets and this one is one of my favorites.

Can't thank you all enough for the lovely and caring messages you left about Janet's passing. I am -- as always -- thankful for friends and all you give so generously. Hugs and blessings!

I had never really eaten fruit until recently, and now can't seem to get enough oranges and apples! It's funny how our cravings change over the years. The photo's are so pretty!

Have a blessed day!

I love oranges too and usually they are a staple at my house. I am thankful for all we have to eat. No matter what season, something wonderful is always there for us. I hope your Tuesday is a terrific one!

Of course the first thing I noticed were the prices -- and those are pretty damn good prices for NYC! It's way more expensive out here in CT. I really can't believe how reasonable that store charges for such delicious looking fruits! Buy a lot and enjoy some for me too. ;)
Best,
Gloria

Ah, you must be the daughter my mother imagined, Buttercup :) She would eat oranges and fruit to the exclusion of anything else. What a disappointment, producing a daughter who doesn't like fruit - ha!

A few years back, my ex and I were visiting his friend in NYC (68th Street) and the nearby grocery was underground! Is yours similar?

Aren't fresh fruits wonderful. We get a lot of them in CA but I never get tired of them.
I am sorry to hear about your friend's death. Life is so fragile. Please give my condolences to her family.
Thank you for your best wishes for me too. I am still in the hospital after the accident but making slow progress. I am trying to be patient patient.
Hugs, Grammy

Oh sweetie, I'm so very sorry for the loss of your dear friend. I've been tryin' to catch up but were smack in the middle of plantin' season. My prayers are with you.

Our stores in Tiny Town lack the bounty of yours. I'm just a tad jealous!!! Great photos sweetie.

Have a blessed and restful day! :o)

The oranges have been really delicious this year, and we've been eating berries like crazy the last few weeks too. The strawberry plants in my garden are full of blooms right now, so I know we're going to have an abundance of them soon, if we can beat the birds to them :-)
Thank you so much for sending a card to Jordan. I know it will be such an encouragement.
Blessings,
Marcia

Berries and melons are some of my favorite. Sure do appreciate these foods when we haven't had them in a while!
