Very Yummy Monday

Apricots, pistachio ice cream and crepes

I love eating lunch out. Dinner is great and breakfast may be my all time favorite, but I do love a long leisurely lunch. A lot of my lunches are eaten at my desk, with the phone ringing and colleagues stopping by to ask me questions. So a leisurely lunch is a great treasure. We stopped at wonderful restaurant today that I've long looked at. I had a wonderful broccoli soup, delicious bread and a great iced coffee. But the treat was our desserts. Sue had the chocolate souffle -- sorry the pictures didn't come out well -- and I had this lovely crepe dessert. I especially liked the pistachio ice cream.

It's been so much fun to be a tourist in New York City! Please come and visit New York, dear blog friends. I promise you a wonderful time!

Sounds like a lot of fun! I rarely (ever?) go out for lunch. This looks much better than what I normally get :)

I wanna come! Will you take me to the Statue of Liberty if I come? My husband only took me to NY once when we lived in CT..but we left after 90 minutes...he was afraid someone would steal the car....

Your dessert looks wonderful. If I ever had a chance to come I'd make sure to let you know but I think I'll just enjoy your pictures for now.

I love long lunches - when you can just talk - and have different courses. That ice cream sure looked yummy. Sandie

I probably couldn't even afford that luxurious dessert, much less a lunch in NY!
Thanks for the invitation, anyway.

I would just love to come again to NY. It must be almost 24 years or so since we visited and we had such fun then...It was the very first place that I was able to take the wheelchair on a bus !! Whether we will ever be able to visit agin is another question. I always fear an accident and insurance mot paying up !!
Love Sybil xx
