Dropping by to say hello. My high school friend, Sue, is visiting from Florida for this weekend and we are enjoying New York City. We saw a great cabaret show last night, theater tickets for tonight and a museum visit this afternoon. It's been leisurely and enjoyable and I almost feel that I'm on vacation, too.
New Yorker, writer, blogger, coffee drinker, traveler. Love to read, especially mysteries. I most my enjoy coffee time with friends.

That is a coincidence in that I have Florida Sue for a friend too. I think I'll get to see her when I go to Florida in the fall this year. Enjoy all the activities and the visit!

It is so lovely to have friends stay when you can enjoy doing things in our own back yard that we never find time to do on our own !! Mary and I got back after our brilliant cruise last Sunday and on Monday morning fairly early our friends arrived from New Zealand so there was not much time to "recover" as it has been all go every day. They left for the rest of their holiday yesterday so today have been a real rest day although it has been so hot we didn;t know what to do with ourselves. It is lovely now at.930pm...Have a great week,

I live in a tourist area and so I don't regularly run around doing the tourist trip. It's great when friends come because, as you say, I can be on vacation, too!
