It Might As Well Be Spring

Riverside Park on an almost spring afternoon

I'm happily listening to Audra McDonald singing "It Might As Well Be Spring" on You Tube. It is so close to spring that I can practically touch it. It's not quite there yet, but there are just a few patches of snow left, I don't need boots and my hat has been tucked into a drawer until next year. And did I mention that the sun is brightly shining?

I feel just about recovered from work siege of the week. This round of evening meetings are done, and I am only slightly worse for wear. I got home at 11:00 p.m. on Tuesday and Wednesday and 12:30 a.m. on Thursday. I'd scheduled a morning meeting on Friday -- I don't know what could I have been thinking -- and just about fell into bed with my clothes on last night.

But this is a new day. I've been to services, had lunch with a friend and gone to the post office. Now I'm listening to music and catching up with my blog friends. How sweet! I've missed reading blogs and posting and glad that I can I have some catch up time. Tonight I'm having dinner with my college roommate. We're going to see if we can sneak in a manicure, too. My cuticles are about to be declared a national emergency.

The picture is Riverside Park, which runs a good part of the length of the Upper West Side of Manhattan, along the Hudson River. I've got a few more pictures of my afternoon to share tomorrow.

I've never been to NY and doubt I ever will. It's nice to live vicariously thru your blog and pictures.

The sky is gorgeous and spring will be there soon. You work to 12:30am and came home alone? And three nights in a row - you are rested already? Well, you are in better shape then me!

Dr. Mercola has some weird things, but in some ways he's way ahead.

Love,
Sandie

That's a beautiful blue sky! Hope you had a good dinner and visit with your friend from college. A manicure is a fine thing! Have a great Sunday!

What a beauty of a photo!
Don't blue skies and sunshine help elevate our moods, and energy level? Let's hope and pray that it continues. No backsliding into Winter again, please!!!

Good Afternoon Sweet Buttercup...
I love this picture. I have been trying to figure out why I haven't seen your postings of late, and for some reason I was no longer following you. Did you do something new? Start over? Well no matter, I am following you now and can keep up with you again. I have missed you and NY.

Blue skies and a beautiful park. Dinner with a friend and a manicure. My word do you ever know how to live. Take me away pleaseee.

Work has been hectic too, and I am going to be traveling to MD. I am going to see Blushing Rose in April. I can hardly wait to get away for a few days and have some fun.

You appear to be well sweetie except that you are working yourself ragged. Remember to take time to smell the roses. You are so loved sweetie.

Country hugs and so much love...Sherry

Hey friend. I love seeing NY through your lens. I really appreciate the view. =)

You have got to slow down and smell the flowers. (When spring arrives.) You are working much too hard. I hope the manicure helped you to relax. Sounds like fun. I am so glad we are friends. And glad you found me on facebook. I thought that person has a picture just like Buttercup. And then it turned out to be you. =)

Thank you for your prayers for Christopher. It is so comforting to know that my bloggy friends are praying for him. I love your visits. Never stop. I hope you are rested and that this week will be calmer. =)
