Happy Key Lime Pie Day

I've been feeling less than my usual sunny Buttercup self for the last few days. Maybe it was seeing the animals going down Broadway two by two, or maybe I am just turning into a big turnip. The latter thought comes via my friend Penniwig, who wrote in her blog about becoming a turnip, and I borrowed that malady for myself.

In some perverse way the thought of turning into a large root vegetable cheered me up. I also remembered that today is National Key Lime Pie Day. As key lime pie is one of all time favorite food treats I am going to declare today a Buttercup holiday. Key Lime Pie Day is the first Buttercup Holiday and no, I don't get the day off from work nor are there greeting cards, but I am wishing all of you a very happy day. I so like the idea I may declare a Buttercup holiday every month. Just wait and see!

Happy Key Lime Pie Day!

Oh Buttercup, you made me laugh.

I think laughing is the only thing that can free us from being root vegetables. THANK YOU! And many thanks for giving me the perfect excuse for eating the last piece of frozen key lime pie that I hid, I mean, found, in the freezer!!!

Can't wait to find out what holiday you choose for May!!!

I am leaning towards some celebration of root vegetables, but too soon to make a decision. Glad Key Lime Pie Day cheered you up. I never could hide/keep key lime pie anywhere in my house for more than 24 hours.
