(Almost) Wordless Wednesday: Lincoln Center Autumn Evening

Lincoln Center Plaza, the lights of Manhattan in the background

I was at Lincoln Center earlier this week. It was the kind of night that people write songs about and those of us with no musical talent take pictures. It was autumn in New York at its best -- clear, no wind and the sky was as full of stars as the air over Manhattan will ever be.

Coming attractions at the Metropolitan Opera

The park area between Avery Fisher Hall and the Vivian Beaumont Theater

The lights of the Plaza in a semi-abstract style. I did nothing to get this effect, but I really like it.

I'm beginning to see lots of Halloween decorations -- in stores, store windows and even a few street decorations. I'm taking lots of pictures and I will be putting together a Halloween decoration post for this weekend.

Please stop by for Fiction Friday (on Friday) and my thoughts on "The One that Got Away."

As ever, thanks for stopping by. Wishes for a terrific Thursday.

Lincoln Center looks so pretty at night and love the buildings in the background. Autumn is a beautiful time to be in the city!
I love the Halloween decorations and the mums and pumpkins.
Enjoy your week Carol!

Buttercup, Your city seems so different at night. I remember the harbor cruise we took one evening, it grew dark and all the lights of the city sparkled like diamonds. It made me almost cry, wishing my mother could have been with me to see it. Blessings, xoxo,Susie
p.s. I love all your NYC photos.

It took me awhile but I finally came for a visit! So delightfully surprised to find you live in NYC! What a treat for me since where I live is so the opposite! LOL! What beautiful photos and I can't wait to rub elbows with some "city folk"! Thank you for stopping by my blog. I'm following you now....you're stuck with me. I've never been to NY and probably will not make it at the rate I am going so your blog will be a real treat for me!

Pretty sites everywhere where you live. I smiled when a friend of mine here said her favorite thing about Las Vegas was the fact that she got a library card. Oh my goodness! Our middle Rebekah would take one look at the huge library we saw in NYC and go wild! She loves books more than anything! Beautiful photos, thanks Carol, you are a gem!
