The Question Is...

What's your favorite food ?

We're entering the last phase of the Blogging from A to Z Challenge and "Q" has me stumped. Stumped! I did get the good suggestion to write about quinoa, but it just didn't catch my interest. I'm pretending that I'm a contestant on "Who Wants to be a Millionaire?" and I'm going to ask for a lifeline. I'm asking my blogging audience...

Would you be happy with a hot dog or a pretzel?

Or would you like something a little more upscale, perhaps with tables and chairs? I was taken with this block for the range of choices. On the left is an Italian restaurant, in the center of the picture is a sushi bar and Cafe Metro on the right has salads, sandwiches and coffee. The picture in the window of Cafe Metro is a crab cake sandwich, which is their featured sandwich of the month. It looks so good to me.

We all know my favorites, and there are still nine more posts to go where I will share more New York goodies. Any mac and cheese fans? What about home-made biscuits with peach jam? Strawberry shortcake?

We had a glorious spring day today and I enjoyed being outside so much. I visited the library and did a little shopping. I actually found summer pants that fit, which made me very happy.

I hope your day included things that made you happy, too. I will be back tomorrow with flowers for Easter. As always, thanks for visiting and wishes for a joyous holiday.

Quiche is indeed a good one for Q. I love pretzels with mustard almost as much as I like hot dogs. But nothing could ever top a crab cake sandwich. DELISH!

My husband and I often say our most favorite place to go in NY, and we would hop on a plane tomorrow to go there, is Patricia's in the Bronx on Tremont Ave. From start to finish, everything is good there.

All of the food you've listed sounds good to me! I was just thinking, my favourite foods all start with "C" - crumpets, coffee, cookies, cake, chocolate...

Most everything looks delish! But to your question? ... It's a toss-up between a juicy burger or rib-eye steak, charred outside with a pinky center. (Thank you!)

Then for some absurd reason, "butterscotch pudding" just POPPED into my head. It's probably been 40 years since I've tasted that!

Congrats on finding those summer pants!

Q is not an easy letter, but wait til X arrives! I count on you to find cute small restaurants and you always do.

I am a Quiche kinda girl! I have a recipe from my sister-in-law who worked at a tea room in a museum back home. It is called a Southwest Quiche and I love serving it. I always love your shares.

Dear Carol, in answer to your question all I can say is I'm just wild about vegetarian food!!!! But I especially like the kale salad mix that my sister-in-law introduced me to on New Year's Eve. I buy the bag at Costco and it comes with all the fixings. What a treat. Peace.
