Night and Day, We Love Our Carts

Choosing "C" has been very difficult. I feel as though I'm a judge at a pageant and all of the contenders are beautiful and talented. I am going to announce "C" later on in this post and give shout-outs to the runner-ups first. Cupcakes, coffee and croissants, you were all contenders and I love you all.

Our second runner up is the always popular and very talented and versatile cheese. Without you we couldn't have one of the favorite foods of New York, pizza, or the comfort food mainstay, macaroni and cheese. Thanks for all you do for us.

The first runner up is Classic New York Style Cheesecake, the perfect combination of cheese and sweetness.

No sugar cheesecake, you stole our hearts this year.

But the winner of "C" in the 2014 A to Z Blogging Challenge is the Food Cart. You don't have the glitz and glamour of some of the runners up. You're not trendy like the cupcake or the croissant, but you're always there when we need a cup of coffee or a pretzel or a hot dog. You're a New Yorker's best friend and I am delighted to crown you winner of the "C" pageant.

Whether it's the morning and we come to you for muffins and coffee...

...Or we stop by for a visit in the evening, We love you food cart!

Yes, I had a lot of fun photographing and writing this post. I am really enjoying the A to Z Challenge and I am snapping pictures everywhere I go. There's a lot of New York City food fun to come.

I haven't forgotten my decluttering challenge and a bag of books went to a new home this morning. I'm up to fifteen bags gone and though forty -- the total for the decluttering challenge -- still seems way out there I am hopeful that I can reach that number. Lots of shredding to do tonight!

As always, thanks so much stopping by. Hope you will join us tomorrow for some Delicious fun!

I know NY has a lot of them. We don't have many here, but we do have food trucks now and then.

What a delightful share, Carol!
I'd be hard-pressed to pass up my all-time fav, NY cheesecake or those wheels of Robusto. Isn't theirs a great display?

While I've never enjoyed the offerings of a food cart, I'm taking your recommendation and it's going on my bucket list!

PS - NYC is definitely on my short-list since I heard a rumor, Village on the Green is going to reopen. True? Oh, the fantasies I've had about visiting that place!

I'm really enjoying your A-Z posts! No sugar added cheesecake sounds like the best invention ever... that is if it still tastes like cheesecake.
Keep up the hard work with the de-cluttering. I'm going through the same challenge here :/

Food carts are wonderful! We only have them here in the fall when we celebrate the apple festival here in our little town and then they are lined up all around the square. Every one loves the variety of food and the food is rarely anything to do with an apple at all.

Your life is as exotic to me as mine would be to you. I've visited NYC twice and though it is big, I was surprised at how "quaint" it also is. It's like a step back in time, compared to the sleek malls that are so prevalent everywhere else.

But I find it terribly charming.

What a fun blog, glad I found you! I never realized before how many delicious foods start with the letter C. And you didn't even mention chocolate chip cookies lol.

I think you picked the perfect winner for the C contest. I'm envious. We don't have food carts around here. There are 2 in Riverside by the court house I've visited when I was on jury duty... but none that I have seen locally. I remember the food carts in NYC. I got a bagel at one and loved it. I getting hungry just thinking about it. I think I need to make another trip to NYC and have you take me around to your favorite carts.

Just a couple hours ago I was telling the Husband that I would like to go to New York and wander the streets and eat at as many restaurants as we could. And, also check out the NY Public Library. :-)
