And to Think that I Saw it on 89th Street...

Yes, yes, yes!

It's sixty five degrees today, and truly balmy. I was coming home from a grocery excursion and thought, "It's warm enough for the spring flowers to start peeping up." As I was chasing the thought out of my mind I realized it didn't hurt to look at the beds around the trees. And sure enough...signs of spring! I like all flowers, but have a special fondness for the flowers of spring. They are hardy and courageous and such a blessing after the snows of winter. One day the beds are all brown and there's nothing and one day these brave little flowers are here.

Wishes for lots of signs of spring!

As always, thanks for visiting and take very good care.

It is exciting to see some signs of spring. We have no blossoms, but do have daffodil leaves shooting up through the soil. With another winter storm headed our way tomorrow though, I don't know if they'll ever bloom. We took a ride out into the country today and most all the snow is melted off the fields. The only signs of spring were the weeping willow trees turning a light shade of green.

Those green shoots are so encouraging; when I grew up in Wisconsin we were thrilled to see crocus come up and bloom in the snow, in our yard.

It's made it up to 67 here, yay!

I'm not sure what spirit patrols 7th St. but considering that folks like John Dillinger and Al Capone came here for 'play' time, it could be almost anyone, lol.

The first blooms of spring seem to let us know that new life is continuing!

I feel the same way about the early spring flowers--they're so brave to come forth when cold is still hovering around. :-) I love winter, but I must admit that I'm looking forward to some color!

Dear Carol, I noticed little green sprouts coming up from the ground too! Though, I do believe there is at least one more cold spell coming our way. Not too bad though. I am quite sure spring will make her way through.
Blessings dear. Catherine xo
