Teddy Time Pink Saturday

Time to join the folks at Pink Saturday for today's pretty in pink post. This is our last Saturday with the theme of celebrating the season. Next week we return to our regularly scheduled pink and I am happy to announce that I actually have something just right photographed and I will share the pictures next week.

This window of adorable holiday bears is only a few blocks from my apartment building and I passed it almost every day. They were part of the St. Jude Gift Shop, and not only were they cute, they benefited a great cause, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. The window now just holds clothes and I'm hopeful the bears have gone to good homes.

It was just about balmy today and I walked over to the library. I am happy to report that I had no further incident with my down coat. I was delighted to find a book that's on my list, "Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy." I'm a fan of the first two Bridget Jones books and  the movies -- love Colin Firth! -- and this book will be my project for tonight. It's a fun way to start my reading for 2014.

I hope you had a fun and balmy Saturday. As ever, thanks for visiting and take good care!

That window is just precious! I too hope that all the sweet teddies found happy homes to live in. I used to donate all my Christmas card fronts to St. Jude's after Christmas each year. I don't know if they still take them or not. I need to check on it. Enjoy the book!

Blessings, Vicky

We had some balmy weather here too and I made a trip out to restock the cupboards here at my house in preparation for the new storm headed our way. Lots more snow and below zero temps. I'll be staying inside for a few days for sure. Hope your Sunday is a cozy and relaxing one there

We had a balmy few hours here, but have now returned to a deep freeze.

That is a good choice for a book to start off the year.

Hi, Carol!

I love New York City! Lucky you to live there! I am in NJ - not too far away, but I only get into the city a couple times a year.

Happy Pink Saturday!

Those teddies are adorable! The window 'dressers' must so enjoy their craft, don't you think?

We're incredibly temperate today - high 60's. This morning's newscasts have me offering prayers for those affected by this latest blast of arctic air. Hard to even wrap my mind around that kind of cold!

Dear Carol,
St. Jude has been at my side since I can remember. The Children's Hospital is a wonderful cause.
A good book all snuggled on these chilly (cold)evenings all snug is a nice way to start the New Year.
Blessings dear. Catherine xo

St Jude's is a wonderful facility. We have not had to use it and hope we never do but they do great work there.
Yes, our Saturday was delightful for much of the day. Glad you got a little break between storms and cold spells.
