One Day It's Thanksgiving...

How does it happen every year? One day it's Thanksgiving and I blink and Christmas is less than ten days away. I keep thinking there's lots of time and the next thing I know I'm hearing television commercials tell me I have three days left to mail. Every year! I'm making good progress on my cards, though the few that are going to England probably will arrive after Christmas. I do have a few packages to put together and that means also getting to the post office. I'm aiming for Thursday and barring something unforeseen I should achieve that goal, too. I've done my Christmas e-cards and have most of my blog post ideas ready. What I don't think I have to do is set foot in a store to buy anything. There may be a few little errands, but no major shopping events. I do promise to get to Macy's to take pictures to share here.

When I was thinking about blog posts for the rest of the year -- amazing to write this -- I remembered I haven't done the second part of my Radio City Music Hall post. I shared my Santa pictures, but still have photos of the Rockettes and the Living Nativity to share, and of course Radio City itself.

I've been to Radio City a number of times, but I am always awed when I enter.

The Rockettes are so talented and so much fun to watch. They are on stage a lot and I am so envious of their seemingly infinite energy. This is the snowflake finale number.

The Living Nativity is beautiful. I am always enthralled as the camels come on stage.

We had snow today, but I had an appointment that needed to be kept and out I trudged. Mission accomplished and I was so happy to get home before it became slippery. Now it's time for my evening tea and reading -- I'm finishing "Longbourn" -- and enjoying a quiet evening.

Hope you're warm and cozy or out having fun. As always, thanks for visiting and take good care of yourself.

Buttercup, I love those rockettes. I always wanted to be one when I was little....now I would settle to look like one :):) I just feel good whenever they are on tv. So pretty and energetic like you said. Hope enjoyed your tea and reading. When it's nasty out, there's no place like home. :):) Take care, xoxo,Susie
p.s. this is has seemed like a compact season.

I know what you mean by the time crunch! I keep thinking I'm early and find that I'm late. I had someone drop me off at the mall after work last Friday and someone else picked me up. Got what I needed for my own gifts and Hickory Farm boxes for two of our benefactors. Then I got home and found out I should have gotten three! So---back again tonight to pick up another one. And it is COLD! I never minded the cold before but this year it's hard to get warm. Guess I really am getting old!! A friend and I went on a bus trip some years ago to see Radio City's Christmas show. Loved every minute of it. We hunted for a place to have lunch before the show and found an Irish pub--which didn't seem too very Irish! One of our sisters grew up in New York City--I think in or near Harlem. She's promised me a visit from the viewpoint of a native rather than a tourist!

Still dashing madly about here, Buttercup! No snow to worry about, though. We've bright sunshine today, though the temperature is a bit chilly. Take care!

I saw the Rockettes perform their Christmas show and live nativity once when they were in Tampa, Florida. It was amazing! How awesome to be so close to all the Broadway shows and Radio City shows! I would stay broke going to watch them all...:) Enjoy...Vicky

Glad you were able to trudge through the snow to get done what needed to be done.

Cozy ... what a delicious word!

Try as I might, I can't recall much of our trip to Radio City Music Hall when I was small. 'Imagine seeing the Rockettes perform never gets old, does it?

Only 2 more days at the office, then I hope to catch my breath!

Hugs,
Myra

You get to see such dazzling entertainment, and I like to see your photos. It sounds like you are making progress, little by little, in your holiday tasks, like me.

Beautiful pictures of the Radio City. It would be something to see. Here it is to get above freezing for a few days now and rain...everyone is hoping for a white Christmas. I've packages to mail too and hopefully today will be the day.
