Very Random 5 Friday

It's Friday and it's time to join our friends at A Rural Journal for Random 5 Friday. I am feeling very random today and if you're expecting a pattern or order in this post, there won't be one.

1) I'm going to blame my lack of order on Halloween and too much sugar. I keep hard candy in my apartment and if I have one piece a week, it's a lot. But the combination of very few trick or treaters and the proximity to Reeses and Kit Kats wasn't pretty. I'm back on track today, but I had more candy yesterday than I've had in months.

2) I'm a Giants fan and football season has not been fun. This follows a very disappointing baseball season. I've already set my sights on Opening Day for Baseball next spring.

3) I've just finished "Snow on the Tulips," by Liz Tolsma and loved it. I'm going to do a longer review later in the month, but I want to share a great giveaway, which is a copy of the book and a fifty dollar Amazon gift card.

4) We had summer today. After a cloudy misty morning the afternoon was bright sunshine and warm, really warm.

5) I've had winter vacations on my mind and one of the places that came to mind was beautiful Sedona. I have no plans, but I'm enjoying thinking about the possibilities. I probably won't go anywhere that far, but it's fun to dream.

As ever thanks for stopping by and take good care of yourself. Wishes for a wonderful Saturday!

Love your randoms Carol! Oh how I would love to be able to go somewhere on a holiday this winter. Alas there are no pennies in the coffers! Will have to start saving! Have a lovely weekend! xxoo

It is the same here...candy candy and more candy. I have quite a bit left over as not many ventured out in the rain for trick or treat in our neighbor hood. I have enough to last well beyond Christmas here.

...at least you often make your vacation dreams a reality. Me, not so much. :)

Always love the Random Fridays...you must have bought the same bag of candy I did because the Reese's and Kit Kat's were my downfall as well. Shoot, go for Sedona. What an awesome break that would be from the NYC winter.

Yep... too much candy left from Halloween here too:) YUM! I have been to Sedona and it is one of my FAVORITE places I have ever visited! I will meet you there in those dreams! Have a blessed Saturday dear friend, BIG HUGS!

Not good to have candy leftover here.:-( I even have trouble with the Annie's Bunnies!

Have you read Doris Kearns Goodwin's book "Wait Till Next Year?" It tells of her childhood with her father's ever hopeful approach to baseball season.

Have a good Saturday!

I was enjoying all your random 5, but when I got to Sedona I started to drool! I last visited Sedona in 1994, and it's been way too long. Love the gorgeous red rock.

It's nice to dream of vacations ... and what a lovely spot you've chosen!
It was "summer-like" here yesterday, too .... in fact it hit 70* ... in November!!!!
But winter isn't far away I fear.
I do NOT like the "s" word!!!!
Have a wonderful weekend!

Your Randomness if fantastic... dreaming is fabulous! I'm dreaming of a little cabin in the woods, next to some ski mountain, with a hug fireplac,e and a warm cup of coffee. Is that asking too much, nah ;-)

Love your post! Not much candy left here, even in the pouring rain, we had well over 100 kids. My dream is come down to the city and see the Christmas windows and NY Eve see the ball drop..keep on dreaming..it would take a 6 hr train ride. Blessings

Dreaming of travel (can be) as much fun as the going places sometimes. No bad airplane food and no looooooong flights! :) We have had unseasonably warm weather here in Oregon too. I like it, but it's weird. Have an excellent weekend!

You and my husband would enjoy discussing sports - - even if you are fans of different teams. He loves the Atlanta Braves and both TN VOLS & GA Bulldogs.

The weather has been mostly beautiful here, too. I wish Halloween candy was my only excuse but time just gets away from me - - no matter how much I accomplish each day - - - am never done with stuff!!!
