I Read the News Today...

Tonight "N" is for Boston...I had another post planned for tomorrow, but my heart, thoughts and prayers are with the citizens of Boston. I wish with all my heart that I could say I don't understand their feelings, but sadly I do understand when the city you live in and love has been attacked. I understand too well when you no longer feel safe in your city. There will be a "new normal," but you never return to the place you were before the moment your world changed.

I spent a wonderful weekend in Boston four years ago. These pictures were taken on a beautiful August day and I enjoyed sight-seeing in the Copley Square area, a very different Copley Square than we saw today.

I wish the N could stand for "never again", but that probably will not be the case.

What happened in Boston today and in New York years ago were just awful. I too know how it feels to be a victim of terrorism in your own city. :(

Those pictures you took are very beautiful, by the way.

My thoughts and prayers go out to all involved there. It is so sad we no more than get over one tragedy than another seems to pop up.

I'm praying for the people of Boston. It is so sad. How can people do such terrible things to each other? It is beyond understanding. I know this hits close to home for you and affects all of us. I'm so sorry. Hugs

It's such a sad time, not only for Boston but for all of us. Now, unfortunately, outdoor events will never be the same. Here in Atlanta, we have the Peachtree Road Race on July 4th every year. I'm sure it will be different from now on for spectators. Thanks for stopping by my place and saying hello. Nice to meet you!

Thank you for checking on us at nuttybean Carol. We made it to Washington DC and New York two years ago. I wish I made it to Boston too. It is a very sad news, of Boston. My heart with all those affected by it.

My heart goes out to all those whose lives were lost or brutally changed by the tragic events. There are far too many dangerous men running around with nobody to stop them!

It was too awful.
I am holding onto the image of all those wonderful people who ran towards the danger, with no thought for their own safety.

Hey there. I have put a link to your blog on my post for P on the A - Z Challenge which is for Thursday. My son Rocco is picking a number on the linky list at random and I post the link for each day. Hope you don't mind.

It was heartbreaking, the scenes on Monday in Boston. Man can be such a cruel animal.

I'm sorry for what happened. It's a horror do this during an event where good people are doing something so good for life and sport.

It is incomprehensible to me that someone could even consider making those bombs - - much less detonating them around innocent people. It is amazing though the attitude of some of the amputees who said they felt fortunate to be alive because they thought they were going to bleed to death. It is all too much to wrap my mind around. I am still in shock over it.
