This is a scene from my regular walk home at night from the subway. It's not a forest, but the next best thing in the middle of Manhattan. I get excited when I first see the trees being displayed right after Thanksgiving and sad when the tree sellers go home after Christmas. I especially like the pine-scented aroma and could happily linger in this urban forest for hours. It's my favorite bit of green in the city!

Gosh I never thought of it but I bet it would be nice to have some green trees there. We have a ton of them here. lol sandie
Buttercup, Evergreens, pines and firs...I love that smell too. I would think it odd to walk thru them on the city sidewalks.:):) Hope you are doing well. Smiles, xo,Susie
I always feel sad about all the trees that didn't get sold and are left laying in the lot after the holidays. I'm sad because someone would have loved to have it but also because it was cut down and wasted. When I was a kid in school, the classroom tree was always sent home with a the kid whose family didn't have a tree.
My favorite is Frazier fir! The green of the season is one of my favorites, too!
I love the smell of pine - the smell of Christmas :)
Thanks for stopping by!
I love the smell of pine as well. This is a nice twist on what one would expect of a forest shot. :)
Pine has always smelled like Christmas to me. And apple cider.
Why apple cider? I have NO idea!
the scent of pine is wonderful. Sad to say mine comes out of a container here. Still I do enjoy it so!
Wow, I miss the city! And I wonder how much a little tree is now-a-days in Manhattan. Probably a ton of money! LOL!
