People often tell me I have a nice rosy complexion. I wish my rosy look was just due to make-up. I have a skin condition called rosacea, which can cause redness and breakouts. I've managed it well and kept the redness to a minimum, but I'm always looking for skin care tips, both for this condition and just to keep my skin as healthy as I can. One of the opportunities offered at BlogHer '12 was to do a video interview with a dermatologist to discuss this condition. I'm a little nervous -- I've never interviewed anyone -- and want to put together questions from the citizens of Buttercupland that I can share during the interview. I'm going to ask about sun exposure, diet and how to manage aging skin and rosacea. If anyone else has any questions please pass them on.
I am -- along with probably everyone else in Buttercupland -- amazed that tomorrow is August 1. Usually I would be shaking my head and wondering where the summer went. This year I know exactly where the days went -- surgery, returning to work and now physical therapy. The good news is that I can see progress. The first week at work was tough and I was exhausted. I added physical therapy last week and my physical therapy and work days wore me out. This week I am just really tired. My biggest challenge is standing and going up stairs. I am able to walk a longer distance and the exercises I did in physical therapy two weeks ago have gotten easier. I was concerned about how well I could handle BlogHer, but I am optimistic that I will be able to really enjoy the conference.

I too am plagued with rosacea. It seems to be a little better when I use a light self tanner daily. Good luck with recovery and interview.
Any information you can get on the subject, I would appreciate hearing. I have it too. I have been so frustrated by it. My daughter recognized my symptoms and told me what it was. I am so glad you are getting around. Climbing stairs is always a challenge for me. Hopefully BlogHer will not wear you out too much. You must be so excited. Take care.
Cool idea to do the interview.
It's great that you'll be doing another BlogHer event. Hope you are able to find some answers for your rosyness. Being tired out is not a good thing, hope you can find some time to rest up too. Take good care!
sounds like information that will be helpful to many of us.
I don't understand how anyone could be a physical therapist. They are cruel....oh! It must be because it helps people. But, my goodness, sometimes it just seems harsh. lol
You look so lovely in your picture I couldn't tell anything was wrong with your sin. Could you ask about thining hair.It seem it happen the older you get.TY. I do hope you are able to get back together soon.ooxx.
Buttercup, One of my daughter's has rosacea too. I know she just scrubs her face with anything. She doesn't watch her diet either. I know there are things that can cause less flare ups...will you please see if soaps are irritants. Thanks, Smiles to you, Susie
