I'm in Good Company

In April Jay Leno turned 62

In May Stevie Wonder turned 62

Today, Buttercup joins them!

I have to be honest, sixty-two sounds old. I don't feel old -- whatever feeling old means -- but when I say sixty-two, it doesn't seem I can be in my sixties. But thankfully, I am.

Tomorrow I am going back to work. Today I grocery shopped for my lunch things for the week, got my clothes in order and will spend some time tonight getting organized to be at work this week. I will write a few cards and checks and just get things tidier to be able to get up in the morning and find everything I need. I've kept up with work email and chatted with some of my colleagues, so I hope there aren't too many issues that surprise me. I know I will be tired at the end of the day, but I also know that I have more energy and it's time to return. I've been out of the office almost a month -- a very emotional and demanding month -- and now I'll be back in the routine I know very well.  Three weeks ago I could barely get out of bed by myself and tomorrow I will dress and go to work. I'm counting my blessings tonight.

Wishing you a cool and sweet week!

Oh, my! Happy Birthday to you, Buttercup! I have been there before - ten years ago, actually!:)

I want to send my best to you as you prepare to return to work. Yes, you will probably be very tired, yet the body is an amazing thing, and you will adjust. I just hope it is cool enough where you are for you to not be too uncomfortable.

We expect some rain, with weather systems heading in our direction. My husband has been following them all afternoon.:)

Sending you my very best!

God gave you a great birthday gift - - - beautiful, youthful complexion!!! I am only six months behind you and I agree our chronological age has definitely flown past the age we think we should be.
Praying for a great week at work. We return tomorrow - - - but only after a few days of vacation.

With love to you!

PSALM 23

THE LORD IS MY SHEPHERD,
That's Relationship!

I shall not want,
This supply is!

MAKE ME WALK IN GREEN PASTURES,
This is rest!

He leadeth me beside the still waters,
This is refreshing!

He restores my soul,
This is healing!

GUIDE ME FOR THE PATHS OF JUSTICE,
That's Guidance!

FOR THE LOVE OF YOUR NAME,
This is on purpose!

THOUGH I WALK THE VALLEY OF THE SHADOW OF DEATH,
That's Testing!

I will fear no evil,
That's Protection!

Thou art with me,
That is fidelity!

YOUR STICK AND YOUR staff they comfort me,
This is discipline!

Prepare a table before ME IN THE PRESENCE OF MY ENEMIES,
This is hope!

UNGE MY HEAD WITH OIL
That's Consecration!

And my cup runneth over,
That's Abundance!

SURELY GOODNESS AND MERCY A follow me EVERY DAY OF MY LIFE,
This is a blessing!

AND I WILL DWELL IN THE HOUSE OF THE LORD
That's Security!

FOR LONG DAYS,
This is eternity!

May the Lord bless you and keep you!

In Christ,

***Lucy***

A very Happy Birthday to you! It sounds like you are ready to go back to work. It's wonderful know that all that is behind you. It has cooled down here for a few days. The low 80's feels wonderful. Hope you get some relief there too.

A very Happy Birthday to you. I have never felt old except when I turned 30. I told everyone I was 24 until that time. Now, I have no problem telling people I am 65. Old is some other person. Not you or me. Enjoy!
