Pinterest Travelfest!

Our virtual trip around the United States is completed. Thanks for joining me in visiting the eight states I have yet to see in person. I had a great time and I hope you did, too.

A new Pinterest theme starts next Friday. I'm not quite sure what will be our topic. I have a few ideas, but I'm open and grateful for suggestions.

It's been a long week. In the last ten days I've developed a lot of pain in my leg. Friends diagnosed it as sciatica, and recommended I see a chiropractor. Just to be sure about what was wrong I visited my internist this morning. He asked if my friends were orthopedic surgeons -- no, but they're sweet and concerned -- and I went through a number of contortions. He doesn't think it's sciatica and I will have an MRI next week. Besides making it tough to go up the subway stairs, it's gotten painful to sit at my computer. I've had to cut down on my computer time at home considerably, but I'm hoping to do some blog visiting over the weekend. Please say a prayer for my right leg. It can really use it!

As always, wishes for a very sweet weekend. Enjoy!

Will you see an orthopedic doctor? IF your pain gets worse or your leg starts developing any numbness, do not wait for the MRI but insist on getting back into a doctor. I am not an M.D. either - - - but know other things it could be because two friends and my sister had that happen. Until your diagnosis, we will pray. Meanwhile drink lots of water - - - always a good thing - - - and try to do some stretching exercises.
And don't let anyone say you haven't contributed to the economic recovery of our country this year - - - especially the medical community!

Golly. don't worry about spending time on the computer - so many of us LOVE YOU - just be well . .

"Sweet and concerned" ... that's the BEST, isn't it?

Your internist's (perhaps unintentional) slap reminded me of a time I consulted a specialist due to "blah-blah-blah" ....then she drew herself up like some olde-tyme villan=ess, asking, "and just WHAT medical school did your friend gratuate from?"
Geeze! Ego, party of one.

Holding you in my prayers tonight!

Hopefully the MRI will get to the bottom of what's wrong with your leg. You are in my prayers for sure. Since I have mobility problems and knees and hips that always hurt, I understand. take care. Hope it heals soon.

Oh, dear friend, I am so sorry to hear about this leg pain. I am and will continue to pray that you will learn just what is causing it and find a fix soon!

Buttercup, smile when your friends diagnose you. They mean well. But your doctor is right. Only medical tests will determine the cause of your leg pain. I have suffered from meralgia paresthetica, pyriformis syndrome,Baker's Knee, and sciatica, all affecting my left leg. Fortunately, my spinal surgery last September has taken away all the pain. I wish you a speedy diagnosis and good health to come with no pain.

I am sorry to hear on your leg pain, Carol! My husband recently went through a few days of bursitis in his right hip joint which caused him tremendous pain. After x-rays, etc, his orthopedist gave him a steroid injecytion at the site, and it cleared up in a day.
I hope you will have the same relief soon!

Pinterest is so much fun--I am quite addicted to pinning ;)

I hope you feel better. I recommend warm baths and advil and stupid movies on cable. (Probably more medical advice than I should be giving) Send me an email or call if I can get you anything. Not especially busy this week.
