Pinterest HealthFest

For the last three months we've had a lot of fun on Pinterest Fridays. There have been yummy pumpkin, cranberry and gingerbread recipes. But in this new month and new year we're going in a totally different direction, but I still think it will be fun. For the next two months it's HealthFest Friday and the theme is finding  inspiration for healthy habits. This week, I'm going to try and put down the diet coke and not order the pumpkin latte and just drink water, lots and lots of water.

I find it hard to drink four glasses of water daily, and eight seems a near impossibility. But I'm going to push myself this week and will try for a healthy compromise of six glasses daily. How much water do you drink? Do you have trouble drinking eight glasses or six glasses? Inquiring minds want to know.

Have a calm and well hydrated weekend!

At home yes but at work no because I carry a waterbottle with me each day and drink from it throughout the day.

I rarely drink just water. In the summer it is ice tea and lemonade plus my daily does of oj. and my morning coffee. I am always drinking something so I figure I get enough. In the winter I turn to hot tea and I love those lattes but don't have them very often. Of course there is still the oj and morning coffee. I also like citrus drinks like Fresca or Squirt. Sorry I'm not a very good water drinker at all. I give you a lot of credit for trying.

I had to learn how to do this... believe me, if you are not drinking your 8-8 a day, you are putting your health at risk! If you don't eat, you can do so...If it bothers you, have some broth.
Yes, water is essential for your body and health! Hugs

I've found water to be so beneficial to my health, but I don't usually drink a large glass at a time. I find it's much easier to sip often throughout the day to get my fill.

I love water! It's my favorite beverage. However, I must admit I don't drink much tap water. I consume lots of lime-flavored sparkling water from recyleable plastic bottles.

Hey, it's my only vice!

I too found it easier to drink water when I worked. At home I find it harder and often just force myself to drink a paper cupful when I am working in the kitchen or baking, etc. Thanks for your comment with prayers on my blog. ♥

This is an ambitious goal. I wish you luck drinking 6 glasses. I usually have a bottle of water in the morning. One in the afternoon and finally one before bed. The rest of the day, I drink Izze/Grapefruit or Izze/Clementine which is sparkling water with fruit juice. Or I drink Snapple TROPAROCKA Tea.

You will get used to it and prefer it over some other beverages. It's especially great to "chase chocolate" from your mouth!!! But seriously, it is soooooo important to your body. Get the book from your library, "SEVEN PILLARS OF HEALTH" by Dr. Don Colbert. Read the first chapter on water and you will become a believer.
You are going a good direction - - - making your body healthier so you can enjoy retirement to the fullest!!!
