...but a lot less than the last few years. John, Lorraine and I made this observation on our walk last week and it was affirmed for me on a visit to Bloomingdale's tonight. There is a branch of the post office not too far from Bloomingdale's. I planned to cut through Bloomingdale's, take some pictures of the beautiful decorations to share with all of you and then walk a few blocks and mail my package. I walked, I mailed my package, but there wasn't much in the way of decorations to photograph. There were some snowflakes and some wreaths, but not the big, colorful decorations I expect in department stores. I do have a picture from our visit to Chicago. We went for makeovers at Bloomingdale's on Michigan Avenue and just happened to take a picture.
Festive wishes for love and peace!

Wow, one could always depend on Bloomie's to have wonderful classic decorations. Guess everyone is cutting down! LOL! I like the shot you got in Chicago though!
Best,
Gloria
I'm surprised Bloomingdale's is not all jazzed up for Christmas.
I haven't gotten over to Rockefeller Center as yet...too busy preparing my house and holiday shopping right now..but I'm sure Saks is all lit up inside and out, and Macy's too! I hope to see them soon.
Economy!
Love these dress forms,tho.
Have a beautiful week ~

Maybe less is more at Bloomie's?
Your trip looked like a lot of fun!

Bah Humbug, Bloomie's. Get with the program. You're running out of time. NEVER MIND. The Chicago sequins added the right amount of sparkle to suggest Christmas and Chanukah are on the way. We better start shopping. PS) I love dress forms. Take care.
How disappointing! You would expect a big shop like Bloomingdales to have tons of pretty decorations! I remember feeling the same way a few years back when we went to London. I was very disappointed in the street decorations, the shops though, were fabulous!
I bet you enjoyed that walk:) Have a blessed day my friend, HUGS!
I'D like to see the pictures of the makeovers! What a fun experience that must have been.
Did you buy yourself one of those dresses?

Of all places you'd think Bloomingdales would of decked the hall to the max.
I just have to ask...who thought the peace and love twin mannequins were a great idea??? Heeehehehe!!!
Have an incredibly blessed day sweetie!!! :o)
That's strange and sad about Bloomingdale's! I miss Marshall Field's in Chicago and their fabulous decorations at Christmas time!!!
