Happy Birthday, July Babies!

Are there any July babies out there? If you're a July baby, this is a celebration for you! I love this sweet poppin and as a July baby -- can someone still be a July baby at almost-sixty-one? -- I was pondering if it described me. I do love laughter and honor -- though honor seems to be an old-fashioned and rare virtue. Great wealth has definitely alluded me and there are moments I am demanding. Quietly brave? It seems very puffed up to describe oneself as brave, though bravery is found in many acts and situations. Some of the bravest people I know carry on quietly in some very difficult circumstances.

I am blissful that this is a long weekend! I spent time tonight catching up with my friend, Mary. We had pizza, saw a movie -- "Larry  Crowne" with Tom Hanks and Julia Roberts, two of my favorites -- and had a leisurely walk up Third Avenue, enjoying a sweet summer night. Catching up with friends tomorrow and Monday and having an excursion on Sunday, details and pictures to follow. Hope it's sunny! I'll be mixing in some errands, blog visiting and some decluttering. It feels good, just writing about it.

I hope the citizens of Blogland have a great and glorious weekend!

I have two kids born in July--one over 50 and the other approaching 50.
I don't find either of them to be demanding but they hard-working achievers.
I really take vicarious joy in your enjoyment of New York! Thanks for sharing.

Happppppy Birthday month!
I'm hoping to catch Larry Crowe, too. (Heck, I'd probably pay to watch Tom Hanks read the phone directory!).
Have a delicious time!

Hmmm, I probably won't find that movie if I can't even get the title right. Sorry!

Happy birthday to you. My daughter and her hubby are also July babies... July produces good people, but then that can be said about every month I guess.

Have a great weekend... and show us pictures... I need my vicarious trip to NY... Riverside, CA just doesn't offer the NY scene.

Happy 4th to you. Hugs, Lura

Hey Buttercup, guess what?? I'm a July baby too! And that description fits me pretty closely. I am very wealthy, but it has nothing to do with money. I love to laugh, hope that I'm considered honorable and I'm told that back in my career days, I was very demanding. I'm hopeful that it was always in a good way!! Mine is the 30th, when's yours?

Happy 4th of July weekend, Buttercup! We'll be watching the fireworks on TV -- ever since Macy's moved them to the Hudson River we don't go to see them live. I wish they would alternate back to the East River.

Enjoy!

Happy Birthday Month to you too Buttercup! I, too, am a July Birthday and I can understand that description and it's probably right (although "great wealth" doesn't mean $$ for me, I'm thinking more friends and life circumstances).

Have a great holiday weekend!

Carol, you had a lovely weekend. Go see Mr. Popper's Penguins ... fun & enjoyable. We had a good time.

I wish we were closer to celebrate your birthday together.

Last night we had a horrible thunder/lightening storm that literally shook SHOOK our home. Lightening struck a church & burned it down at the foot of our hill. Really sad. It was the minister's first day at his new church, to preach.

May her flag fly high & proud forever over this great land ... may God see the changes we need & grant us that blessing.

Happy 4th, my friend,

TTFN ~
Hugs & love,
Marydon

Hey Buttercup, this is Teacherfish- my teacherfishing is on hiatus for the summer and I am trying to blog on my other even more sporadic blog. I know your birthday is this week because its either the day before or after mine. Hope there are sparklers on your birthday cake and the week holds only one good thing after another. I too am bent out of shape about the fireworks being over the Hudson and not the East River.
Have a great week!
