....especially in the middle of a long, long winter.
When Jess and K were here last week we had a discussion about our favorite funny movies. Many movies were discussed and I've been thinking about what movie is my favorite comedy. The first one that came to mind is "Trading Places." But as the week passed other movies competed for the title of favorite.
I'm still a big fan of "Trading Places," but "Ghostbusters" took over first place. The one similarity is that they both star Dan Aykroyd, who really makes me laugh. But "Ghostbusters" also has Bill Murray, who also stars in a film that is one my top ten funny movie list, "Groundhog Day." It also stars the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man, who makes me laugh every time I see him waddling down Central Park West in his sailor suit. Of course, there's "Men in Black," the memory of which makes me smile as I type.
Frank-the-Pug, of "Men in Black" is a cutie!
Inquiring minds would like to know...What is your favorite comedy, and who's cuter? Frank-the-Pug or the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man?
Sweet dreams and a happy Thursday wishes!

Just one?
I really don't think I can pick just one.
I like the Chevy Chase movies as well as Bill Murray but then there are the "newer" comedies like Grown-Ups and many more.
Oh, and I'd have to say Frank the Pug is cuter!
Frank the Pug gets first place for me. Airplane Leslie Nielsen was pretty funny, too.
Hands down, my favorite comedy is City Slickers ... I sooo love Billy Crystal!
Casting my vote for Frank-the-Pug!
...and doesn't it feel SO good to laugh? :)
Hard to beat anything written by Nora Ephron, so When Harry Met Sally is one of my favs. Anything with Bill Murray/Chevy Chase is always good too.
Laughter helps us get through most anything, doesn't it?
I love the movies Home Alone and Home Alone 2 about the little guy that gets lost when his family goes on vacation. I remember saying I'd never laughed so much when that first came out. Hope your Thursday is a Happy one!
I think my favorite is "The War of the Roses." Gawd that makes me laugh. It disturbs my husband that I so enjoy the smoldering hatred that grows between a married couple . . . can't help it, I do! I could do, actually, without the last slapstick 30 minutes of the movie, but it is still my favorite.
Good topic!
Oh baby there are so many great comedies I just couldn't pick!
I'd have to give good old Frank the award!!!
God bless ya and have a terrific day sweetie!!! :o)
Oh wow, um.... hafta go with the stay-puff marshmallow man. And as far a comedies, I don't watch that much tv, but I have to go with sneakers as a classic.

It sounds like you had a great visit. My favorite comedy is an old one borne of time and place. I really love Breaking Away. As to your other question I have to go with Marshmallow Man. He tickles my sense of the absurd. I hope you have a great day. Blessings...Mary
I have left you an award on my blog if you would like to pick it up...
Loev sybil xx
My favorite comedy is "All of Me" starring Lily Tomlin and Steve Martin. Steve Martin did another film called "Dead Men Don't Wear Plaid"
that was also a hoot! I really laughed a lot at the original Pink Panther movies as well.
Frank the pug was a great addition to "Men in Black"!
