This is a big weekend. Museum, theater, dinners and celebrations. It's so big that it goes through Monday and I've even got a vacation day to keep celebrating. I'm celebrating with two of my very favorite people, K and Jess and there's lots of good times and memories happening.
The Metropolitan Museum of Art, Fifth Avenue, Manhattan
The Sculpture Court
K and I spent a great evening here last night. We had dinner at the restaurant adjacent to the Sculpture Court. What an amazing treat to eat dinner listening to a wonderful jazz trio, surrounded by Rodin sculpture. We saw a photography exhibit, our favorite Impressionist paintings and had a great walk through the Egyptian collection.
I loved seeing the Temple of Dendur against the snowy background of Central Park
Hope you enjoyed our Super Saturday. I'll be back tonight with our own version of Super Sunday.

I'm so glad you're having such a great weekend. One item on my 'Bucket List' is to visit the Metropolitan Museum of Art. I've got books about it and I've read about it in works of fiction, as well. One of these years! Enjoy the rest of your weekend (oh, and I did receive the soup coupons...I just keep forgetting to let you know!). :)
Sounds like fun weekend for you!
Looking forward to more.
Melinda
What gorgeous pictures and views! Don't you love when people have such a grand vision and see it through to fulfillment so many others - - - like you - - - can enjoy it, too?!!
Oh, this would be a weekend I would love to be in NYC for! I love art, music, and food, the cultural experiences all together. When I lived in Washington, D. C., I loved Christmas time at the Kennedy Center as they would have free concerts in the lobbies before performances (that cost). BUT ... we were all able to go to the free ones and sit on the red carpeted stairs, or stand all around, listening to quartets, trios, small chamber orchestras playing right in the lobby areas. I just loved that!
I look forward to hearing about the rest of this weekend. So glad you share through words and pictures.
Enjoying alongside, ~ linda
Buttercup you have such a nice life! have fun. sandie
Absolutely beautiful!! Glad you're having a great weekend - enjoy! :)
Sure love it when you share your big city lifestyle and outings with us. It's so different from small town life, and interesting for us who aren't surrounded by culture and the buzz of activity. Keep it comin' Buttercup...it helps get us through this dreary winter!
Gorgeous pictures, thanks!
Is it wrong that the Egyptian exhibit now always reminds me of that seen in When Harry Met Sally, "Pecan Pieeeee?" Probably.
Ooops, "scene." I do know the difference!
