Just Swept Up the Confetti...

...and I've put away the disco decorations until next year. I've redecorated the blog to reflect the gift that this new year will be. As the paper comes off the present and the ribbons are untied we'll see all the year has to offer. At this minute I'm full of optimism for the year ahead and so glad you're all along for the journey.

If you'd asked me this morning I would have been less optimistic. I was feeling a little down after all the anticipation of the last few weeks.
But there's nothing like a long walk -- happily the streets are definitely much better for walking -- and getting a few errands done -- bank, health food store, drugstore and boot shopping -- for cheering up. Had some nice chats with friends and in a little while I'm off to the theater, courtesy of my wonderful discount theater membership.

Please come by tomorrow. I have a quick, but fun, giveaway, just perfect for the winter season.

Hope you're all having a great weekend!

Happy New Year, my precious friend! Was so great to hear your voice the other day ... enjoyed our chat, long overdue.

You should've gone out last night, grabbed the first good looking guy you see & given him a BIG hug, that would have cheered you BOTH up ... chuckle!

Enjoy the theater ... wish we had the opportunity here to have as many as do you.

Thank you for a beautiful year of friendship & joy, Carol.

Hugs of love, Marydon

Even though I am NOT ready to give up my vacation time at home, I am always excited to start a new year. It's going to be interesting putting in a full day on Monday after being off almost 2 whole weeks!
P.S. What was the most popular snack at your New Year's Eve blog party?!! Was it the pigs in a blanket?

A walk does do wonders for us. I miss those walks when the weather is cold and icy. I'm indoors for most of the winter. Our snow is gone now. I was amazed that a couple of warmer days took care of it. Now we are to get colder again but no new snow is forecast here this week anyway. Maybe I'll get out for a walk soon. Enjoy the theater!

Fresh air and exercise is great for heart, mind and soul, and body too.
