...Happy Birthday to You,
Remembering Elvis today, on what would have been his 76th birthday and wanted to share a few more pictures from my visit to Graceland in November. I found a video of my favorite Elvis song, "I Can't Help Falling in Love With You" and am happy to share it. Though "I Can't Help..." is my favorite there are many other songs that I also like very much and I had a good time listening to Elvis earlier this evening.
Happy birthday, dear Elvis. Your music is a great gift and I remember you with a happy heart!

My mother-in-law LOVED Elvis. We played his Christian hymns at her funeral. One of my girlfriends was like you - - she had been to Graceland and always told us when it was his birthday, too. I got to hear him in concert near the end of his career. It's so sad how his life turned out because he never intended for it to be all the career choices others made for him. My favorite memories are watching him in the movies on Saturday afternoon in our small town.
My older brother looked like Elvis when he was young, and all the girls would follow him around the streets of Brooklyn like a fan club. :)
Elvis' sound is timeless ..I love his mellow songs the best.
Hope he is rockin around heaven right now xxx
Teddy Bear is my fav Elvis song. He and the Beatles are the first muscians I remember as a child.

Oh I love him. I remember stripping wallpaper through my tears on the day he died. I still remember how I felt then. I love all his songs and just stop in my tracks when I hear his velvet sound.
Happy and gentle week for you Buttercup. We must make a pact not to work too hard. I am still waiting for my medal so I guess I have been overlooked again!!
Take Care xx
Great post for a great guy. I loved him and my grandmother thought he was the best. Amazing that he would be 76 now, time flies...
Happy Birthday Elvis - I loved him. sandie
It's hard enough seeing the aging Stones, and the struggles of Paul McCartney with his millions to find a good colorist. An aged Elvis would be overwhelming. He will always be the slender movie star Elvis to me. I understand falling in love was one of the songs he actually wrote. Summertime listening to him on records will always be a wonderful memory.

HI!!!
I adore Elvis Presley, grew up in a home who loved him and we watched every movie, I still own several of those classics!!!!
I love his music and his life the way it ended is so sad. I would LOVE to go to graqceland, been to Memphis, drove through actually, and we never even ventured off to get a pic of the gate, One thing I am very sorry about. My in laws live a 100 or so miles from there so I know one day I will get there!!!
Great post
happy b-day Elvis
hugs,
jamie
