Make Way for Ducks

One of the major spots to visit in Memphis is the beautiful Peabody Hotel. Built in the 1920s it is a downtown landmark and also the home of five beautiful ducks who come down from their duck house each morning at 11:00 am and return at 5:00 pm. I had the pleasure of seeing the ducks at the Peabody in Little Rock several years ago and my group wanted to make sure we were at the Peabody for the ducks' entrance during our visit.

Rolling out the red carpet for the ducks!

The ducks enjoying their beautiful Italian marble fountain.

Hi Buttercup just to let you know I do pop by every day just to make sure you are ok. Hugs to you too. I am spending three whole days with Sheilagh at the end of the week and I can't wait to hear all about her trip. She really is my soulmate and I love her to bits.
She may even bring me to meet you next year. Here's hoping xx

Wow! This is delightful! To think that the ducks have this home in this famous hotel! I love it!

Thanks for visiting me over at "Being Woven" and sharing your feelings about our veterans. I, too, never forget, nor do I want to. I appreciate each and every one of them.

Thanks and caring, ~ linda

I found you thru MsGraysea....I was shocked to see the Peabody Post. I thought at first that you were from Memphis, as I am. I then saw you were visiting. I hope you enjoyed my town. My son used to work as a tour guide at Graceland during college. My claim to fame is kissing Elvis when he was visiting his father at a hospital here in Memphis....snuck one in!

Seems like I've heard of them before somewhere! They must be really special to get the red carpet treatment, lol!
