Our team -- minus Buttercup. I am the photographer.
Thousand of walkers on Central Park West, the street where the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade begins.
The walk continued through Central Park.
This cute sweetie-pie, with her dad, is the youngest member of our team!
Thanks, dear friends, for your support for this terrific cause. I so appreciate the contributions from friends all over the country. In the interest of full disclosure, I only did two miles of the three-mile walk. I was delighted that I could do two miles and still be ambulatory this evening. I have an ankle problem and missed last year's walk because I was in the midst of physical therapy. Thankfully, I was able to do more than I anticipated and am hoping that next year I may be able to do the whole walk. Of course I pray for a time when this walk won't be needed any longer.
Take good care, dear blog friends, and have a blessed week!

Awwww. I loved this post and these pictures! That little "sweetie-pie" in pink is beautiful--and so is her father! Some people are just striking. He is one of them. It makes me wonder what he is like in person.
I'm glad you were able to do more this year than last--and will do more next year than this one. :)
Thanks for this post. It made me smile.

G'morn, Carol ~ What a darling little cutie patooty ... gettum started young. These kinds of events are so special & help so many in many different ways. Glad you were able to participate ... hopefully cures will be found so others suffering can be healed & an end disease sufferings.
You have been very busy ... just popped backwards to catch up with you.
We finish the new house today ... what a 3 week ride that was. I allowed 2 weeks but wanted done in 7 days, we did it in 5 ... but I just couldn't leave well enough alone & kept making little changes & seeing thing sin stores to buy.
I/we can truly stand back & say 'job well done' on this house.
Wish you could see the master bath in our house, Carol ... major changes there. Will show them soon.
Have a beautiful week ~

Our walk was on Mothers Day, and it was rainy for our day too!
What a great cause, and a great way to remember a dear friend!
Hi Carol,
Glad that you were able to compete in the walk this year. The pictures are great!

Congrats to the team also.

My daughter is participating in a 3-day, 20 mile run in October for the same cause. She has been working very hard to raise funds and get in shape. I haven't got a clue where she will get her endurance!
Hey, Buttercup! There's an award for you on my blog. :D Deb
Great post and pictures. We have several similar walks in our area - they're always able to raise lots of money for great causes. Love the cutie in the last picture :)
