Midsummer Night's Day

We move into the sweet, warm days of summer. There will come a day -- or many days -- when I am standing in the subway sweating and feeling stifled by the heat, but tonight I am so grateful for this season. As much as I enjoy the autumn I can see winter at the next turn of the year, casting its shadow. But that's not the case in summer. There are no shadows in summer, only light. At this moment I feel that it will be an endless summer of long days and sunlight and lemonade. Intellectually I know summer doesn't go on forever, but on the longest day of the year I believe it does and I love that belief.

Wishing you a summer of lemonade and sunshine and time spent with those you hold most dear.

We need LOTS of lemonade here in Virginia. The humidity and temperatures are like that of late August...nearly unbearable! What happened to our beautiful spring weather?

Thank you so much for your sweet comments on arise 2 write, your prayers and encouragement, and your beautiful friendship.

Hugs,
andrea

Harumph! My comment from yesterday didn't come thru here! Blogger has been giving me fits lately.

Well, anywho! ... pass that jug of lemonade, sweetie, it is bleeding hot here ... tho Phil did get out a/c jimmy rigged so we now have it working until the new units arrive ... yup! replacing the entire system. Oy!

Don't you just love summer for the heat, autumn for the nestling in, winter for the preparation of rebirth & spring for the birth of another season?

Have a beautiful summer day...
