Fall Fashion Preview

Though I have still not finished my summer shopping -- definitely need a few more T-shirts for work -- the fashionable world is already shopping for fall. I'm so far from this world of fashion that it never crossed my mind to be looking at winter clothes in June.

Last night was a lovely summer evening. I was strolling up Madison Avenue and realized fall clothes are everywhere -- everywhere on Madison Avenue. In Buttercupland fall clothes are happily in moth balls and I am loving being in open toed shoes and silky skirts. But I love to window shop and it's great to do it at 7:30 at night when most of the stores are closed and there can be no temptation to purchase. I simply had the fun of strolling, looking and photographing.

Hope you had fun window shopping with me. The rest of the week has been pretty quiet. Work, errands and an evening meeting on Monday night in Brooklyn. But tonight is one of the big evenings of the year -- and I am so excited...Concert at Madison Square Garden. If it's not too late I will post pictures when I get home  from seeing James Taylor and Carole King! Can't wait and wish you could all join me.

Love those rust colored dresses. Of course I hardly ever wear a dress. To me fashion is a long sleeved tee shirt and light weight blue jeans! :)

Hope you enjoy your concert! How could you not? James Taylor and Carole King! Wow! Have a great time!

What exciting surroundings you have there. I've not been shopping much so haven't seen any fall items in the stores yet. The concert sounds wonderful. I'm hoping you had good weather there. It seems as though the seasons come earlier and earlier in the stores each year.

I can't believe the fall clothes are out and summer hasn't started here! Let us enjoy the season a bit people!

Goodness Fall fashion and here we are bemoaning the fact that summer has still not arrived here. although have to admit that last couple of days have been rain free and even sunny but warm it certainly is not with a keen north wind still about....out of the wind is ok.though..
Loved your photographs. The mention of Madison Avenue brought back lovey memories of when I trundled up there so many years ago.
love Sybil xx

What are they thinking! That's as bad as Hobby Lobby putting out thousands of pumpkins the other day...but it is fun to go look!

I really liked the rust colored dresses. Just wish I could wear sleeveless tops and dresses. I'll get there. In the meantime, I can window shop, right?

The silver dress looks like something you'd wear to the oscars. You have great taste. Thanks for taking us window shopping.

Thank you for stopping by also...

Hi there!!!!! :) Thanks for peeking in on my blogs and keeping up with me. It makes me feel so good. You are such an awesome lady!

All I have to say about fall clothes is OMGoodness!!!!! My summer clothes seem like they just got out of the closet and now fall and winter? But, like you, I am really far from the world of fashion. LOL It was a great tour of Madison Ave.. I have never been to New York, so getting to see your pictures is great!

Hugs and blessings,
Stacey
