And the Sound of the Dishwasher is Heard in the Kitchen

Our lobby tree is ready to greet the season

I was sitting at the computer (in the living room)  the other day and the dishwasher repair person was in the kitchen doing what dishwasher repair people do. From the kitchen I heard a faint sound that seemed familiar. I realized I heard the dishwasher running. The sweetest sound. The dishwasher is fixed -- with a warranty that I hope I don't need -- and life in my cozy apartment has returned to whatever passes for  normal.

I'd hoped to spend (more) time seeing and photographing the holiday sights this week, but between errands, a long medical appointment and and lots of rain, it didn't happen. I am almost on the way to Connecticut to visit family and there will be lots of photographs -- and really fun ones -- from the weekend.

I did get to Brooklyn one night and took some of my favorite photographs of the year, the Brooklyn Bridge at night.

My favorite of the Brooklyn photographs

I'm off to get my boots out and fleece for my trip to Connecticut. I just checked the weather and it's actually three degrees warmer there than in New York, but it's still boots and hat weather. I hope you're keeping warm wherever you are.

As ever, thanks for visiting and keep cozy.
