National Teddy Bear Day 2025

Today's the day the teddy bears have their day of honor

We love our national days in Buttercupland. We celebrate National Coffee Day and National Bagel Day just about every year. We've celebrated Cat Day, Dog Day, Licorice Day and Rubber Ducky Day. But somewhat to my surprise, I found, when I was researching this post I found that the beloved teddy bear has only been celebrated once, in 2020. I'm a teddy bear fan -- who isn't? -- and there's quite a teddy bear family in Buttercupland. Just when I think the apartment totally resembles a toy store and there will be no new bears, there are new bears joining the Buttercupland family. Our two newest are teeny and are sitting  in the right front of the photograph. I'm happy to introduce Vincent, wearing his Starry Night outfit, and Fiona, our little gray bear. They are perfect additions to Buttercupland.

September began with a great blogging start and then one of the dreaded events of modern life happened, my internet service vanished. I did all the regular turn things off/turn things on and still no internet. I then resorted to one of my least favorite things, reaching out to  Customer Service. My hour and a half was spent with chat and alas, that yielded nothing except an actual visit from a technician the following day.  The technician was relatively on time, very professional and pleasant. It turned out to be a "wire" issue that had to be fixed in the building basement. I've also got new routers and fingers crossed, all is well in internet land.

I'm trying to keep up with a dozen balls in the air at the same time. Things do get busier once Labor Day is history and I know the next few months will fly by. I've joined a Senior Center in the neighborhood and have begun to take  chair Yoga there once a week. Great class and I'm hoping to become a regular. I added a couple of trips in the next few months and have been looking at train/bus schedules and activities. Rosh Hashanah is in two weeks and there are classes, programs and services I'd like to attend. And for the icing on the cake(s) two friends of longstanding -- elementary school and high school -- are celebrating milestone birthdays in the next month. I'm also committed to walking, cooking and blogging. It's busy, but all good things. Is anyone else feeling a rush of activity?

As ever, thanks for visiting and have a sweet week!

Hi Carol. So glad you got your internet back. Losing internet with all that entails is one of the most frustrating things about our technologically advanced modern world. Sounds like you have a busy month coming up. It's always good to read about what you are up to. Happy Teddy Bear Week to you! See you again soon!

Oh yes, once summer is over,s the days do get busier. Before we know it, Christmas will be here. The holidays take a lot preparation. I hope you enjoy all of yours!

It is so frustrating to be out of internet service, Carol, and I'm glad you got all your issues resolved fairly quickly. I love your teddy bear collection, too. So sweet! God bless!
