My favorite most recent great moment in coffee,
at the Metropolitan Museum of Art cafe
If anyone is a long time follower of Buttercupland, you know that coffee is one of my all-time favorite things and certainly my favorite beverage. It follows that National Coffee Day -- yesterday -- is one of my favorite days and International Coffee Day -- tomorrow -- is another. I enjoyed yesterday's celebration completely. I got a (semi) free medium iced coffee at Dunkin Donuts as part of their celebration of Coffee Day. I call it "semi" as it was free with purchase and I indulged in a multigrain bagel to go with my coffee. I also bought a half-pound of very good freshly ground coffee for my morning coffee. The aroma was fabulous.
Coffee for three at the cafe at the Frick Museum in March
In tribute to my favorite beverage I selected three great coffee moments of 2022. There were many, but here are three that stood out. Two were at museums with friends. It's a great day, seeing great art with friends and enjoying coffee. One of my favorite ways to spend time.
Mason jar iced coffee at the beach
I chose this photo of iced coffee at the beach to represent all the lovely days of summer iced coffee. Of course, I drink iced coffee all year, but on a hot day with the ocean in the distance and friends around the table is the best.
What are your best coffee moments?
Definitely autumn in New York, though I've yet to see one leaf turned to gold or red. Today is sunny and brisk, but tomorrow rain is in the forecast. I hope it won't be too windy -- I worry about falling branches -- but we can use the rain. I've heard from a few friends in Florida and they've come through okay. Prayers that all of our Florida friends are okay and those up the coast stay safe, too.
As ever, thanks for visiting and let's have a cup of coffee.

I always drink capucinno….make with Illy coffee my favorite I drink that more than 27 years I think so…happy weekend love from me and Leaf 🍀🐾💗🍀
Love the mason jar! There's never a wrong time for iced coffee.
A day without coffee would be very sad. When I visited Colombia a few years ago there were roadside coffee vendors all over the place and they all served a small coffee whose name I can't recall, but it was universally delicious.
Thanks to you, I've learned to like iced coffee too. It is even more refreshing than Iced Tea. But nothing tastes better than hot coffee when it gets cold out! We have much the same weather here windy wet and cold here.
I'm not a fan of coffee being cold, it just seems wrong to me. Until a few years ago I needed my morning coffee, now I drink decaf so can't say I need it; but still want it first thing. I typically drink 2 cups, once in awhile 3; but that's it for the day. I've never understood people who drink coffee all day long. I would be a jittery mess. When on a trip to Spain a good number of years ago, the hotel chain served a German coffee that hubby and I liked a lot and so we started ordering it from Amazon, but the last 2 orders have been a problem...delayed and damaged. I may not be able to get it anymore.
One of the things I've noticed when we been in Europe and really like is you always get your coffee in a ceramic cup, not a to go cup. Even at the airports.
Coffee is definitely a favorite drink for me, but only the first cup in the morning. That one seems to be the best way to start the morning, especially now that cooler temps have arrived.
