Please meet Nacho, a Newfoundland from -- where else? -- Newfoundland
This was supposed to be a post about Prince Christian Sound, but I realized today was International Dog Day and I had the perfect canine friend to be the poster dog for this post. Please excuse me for postponing the promised post and enjoy today's Pink Saturday post featuring Nacho. I had the good fortune to meet him while I was visiting St. John's, the capital and largest city of the Canadian province of Newfoundland and Labrador.
Our big activity in Newfoundland was a trip out of St. John's to see the second largest -- the largest is in Iceland -- puffin colony in the world.
I also enjoyed spending time in St. John's and exploring the downtown area. There were quite a few scenes that I thought would be just right for Pink Saturday.

We visited Newfoundland in 2003 but didn't stay long in St. Johns. we traveled south of there and then west to L'Anse aux Meadows. We are planning to return to Nova Scotia next year and maybe Newfoundland will need a revisiting one day too.

What great finds for Pink Saturday, Carol and that Hop On-Hop Off bus is something I would enjoy using and wonder if you had any time to do so during your visit. Holiday shopping in a new place is always fun!
