Greetings, Pink Saturday friends, from beautiful Breckenridge, Colorado
Actually these greetings are coming from my desk in New York City. I arrived back last night after a totally uneventful day of travel and a fabulous week in Breckenridge. My goal for this trip was a change of scenery and it turned out to be so much more. I spent time with family -- a definite bonus -- and blog friends Pat and Vinnie, who may be the best tour guides ever. I walked a lot, swam, went for a spa treatment and spent hours enjoying the extraordinary scenery.
There will be several more posts about my travels in Colorado, but this post is a special Pink Saturday post. From my first day in Breckenridge I started to notice the color pink around me and decided I'd do an all pink post starting with the glimmers of pink in the sky.
These bright beauties greeted me on my walk down Main Street.
I did very little shopping on this trip, except for window shopping. There were lots of cute things calling out to me, but in the interest of Sensible Spending June, I kept my shopping to window shopping and window photography.
The pink bench called out to me and I think the pillow may have been custom made. I did contemplate buying the pillow -- I've never seen a Buttercup pillow before -- but while I was contemplating the pillow went home with another Buttercup. Happily I have the photograph to keep as a sweet memory.
I feel as though I followed my bliss into the mountains and
left a piece of my heart in Colorado.
I've got one more "pink" picture, but it will be featured in a Monkey Monday post. There was a little drama with Pep's love life which I'll be sharing tomorrow.
As ever, thanks for visiting and have a great week!

I'm glad you had a wonderful time in Breckenridge and South Park, Carol. It was so much fun spending the day together and going to one of my favorite history museums. I love all the fun pink things you saw on your journies around town!
Sounds like a lovely time exploring and discovering ... and, yes, indeed, Miss Kitty would be right at home in that pink saloon!
Welcome home!
Glad to read that you had such a great trip, visit with blog friends, and a safe journey back home, Carol. Looking forward to seeing more posts about your CO adventures. That pillow seemed to have been just right for you, and at least you have the photo memory. Kudos tonyou for keeping to your minimal or no spending goals, so hard to do when traveling.
I'm so glad that you had a wonderful time. I do love the pink photos! And that hanging plant is gorgeous! You have a super day, hugs, Edna B.
Glad you are safely home and had such a great trip I love all the pink pictures. My favorite color is red, but it does drift to shades of pink too. There are many to enjoy!
I'm so glad you had a nice visit! Breckinridge is one of my favorite towns. And I learned something from you, we have never been to the South Park Museum. That pink room looks wonderful. We've camped in that area, jeeped there, drove through it. Next time, we'll have to slow down and visit.
What a great trip! I believe I would have weakened when I saw that pillow! I’m sure Pat was very happy to see you!
Loved how you experienced and documented a colorful, fabulous trip while staying true to your Sensible Spending June. Looking forward to your subsequent Colorado posts.
Looks like a lovely trip. I was born and raised (partially) in Colorado, but have never been to Breckenridge. I have missed out. It looks lovely. :-)
This is so exciting for me. It was lovely seeing you out and about with Pat and all the gorgeous pinks you found - that cushion definitely had your name on it! But also because it took me back to when you dropped in to say hello in Melbourne, Australia. Such is the fun of our blog connections! Have a lovely day
