Just a Touch of Pink Saturday

I've been on the lookout for signs of autumn, but alas it's still summer in New York. This scene outside a flower store on the Upper East Side was as close as I could come to autumn in New York. Today was a little cooler -- maybe seventy degrees -- but still not autumn. I love pumpkins and autumn leaves, but it still seems too summery to move into full, or even partial, decorating mode. I did eat a package of pumpkin Peeps, but haven't begun sampling hot cider or pumpkin muffins. Love those pumpkin muffins!

I'm hoping to do a linky in the next week. It doesn't look too difficult and I've got an idea that is autumn themed. I've come to really enjoy linky parties and the wonderful bloggers that I've met and I'd like to be part of the linky world. Did anyone have difficulty with their first linky?

Last week was very social and this week looks busy, too. I've got my regular activities -- library and post office visit -- and I've added a movie class on Friday mornings. We're scheduled to see "Showboat" this week. I also have a visit to the orthopedist on Wednesday, and hoping, hoping, hoping my boot will be history. I'll wear it as long as I need to, but I would be so grateful to be back in matching shoes.

I hope you had a great weekend, with lots of touches of autumn. Thanks so much for visiting and take good care of yourself.

Here it is really looking like Autumn with loads of leaves on the ground but it was very summer like with temps in the 80's over the weekend. Today is a totally different feeling. A front came through and we're only going to be in the 60's today. Sounds like a busy week ahead for you . Hope you do get to loose that boot!

It was looking like Winter here since we got snow on Friday :) We are supposed to have Autumn weather again this week, but it sure is cold here. Have a blessed week, friend. Hugs!

I do hope you get good news re the boot at your dr. appt. What a lovely photo. Still hot here in GA but I have enjoyed a few pumpkin donuts from the bakery already!

Good Luck at the doctor. I hope your boot will come off. I've never done a linky.

I visited NYC in November 2002. People were still subdued from 9/11. But the autumn feeling was there, along with some early Christmas decorations. I long to visit there again someday!

Dear Carol, here in Missouri we are enjoying fall days now--with the evenings cool and the day temperatures in the mid-70s. However, the foliage has not changed yet and so autumn really hasn't come yet for me either.

I have started getting my goodies together for the trick or treaters who will knock on my door on Halloween. I'm going to give sweet and salty nut bars and also some candy. Peace.

I've never done the linky thing, so I have no suggestions there.

We are still enjoying apple season here, though pumpkins are "waiting in the wings!"

Autumn is definitely showing up, though it seems to come and go. Our rains have picked up, which is a sure sign, but the last several days have been warm and sunny. The trees are starting to turn, though, so we're starting to see some brilliant color!

It finally rained and has now cooled down in PA so I spent the afternoon making pumpkin cupcakes. They are delish, but I can't eat them all - well maybe I can, but I shouldn't.
