I'm Lovin' Bloglovin

As I've learned through the years, worry is futile. Fifty per cent of the things I worry about aren't worth worrying about and the other fifty per cent need action and prayer, not worry. The demise of Google Reader  on July 1 falls into both categories. I was like Chicken Little and was sure that my blog sky was falling. How would I ever keep up with all the blogs I'd carefully followed over the last four years? I decided I'd be Scarlett O'Hara and, fiddle-dee-dee, I'd just worry abut it in June, when I had more time to figure it out, aka worry.

A few days ago I got an email asking me to follow one of my blog buddies on bloglovin. I was happy to and I joined bloglovin to follow our sweet Marydon. After I did that I was asked if I wanted to import the blogs I followed into bloglovin. I said yes and in just a few minutes three hundred and sixty blogs were neatly arranged in bloglovin. I added the button to my blog -- on the right hand side -- and every evening I get an email with the new posts of the blogs I am following. No muss, no fuss and easy, peasy to read.

Thanks to Marydon and to bloglovin. I'm lovin' you both! You've kept this Buttercup blogging!

Wishes for a magical Monday!

Carol I am confused, is the google follow feature going to end and the blog roll I see when I log in to my blog going to disappear on July 1?
I may go ahead and do what you did, I am just reluctant to get enmeshed in another system.
I will check back here to see what other comments you get, dear one.

Thanks for the info. I've been strictly going by responding to comments left on my blog. As soon as my life calms down a bit I'm going to give Bloglovin a try too. Thanks!

I just follow the blogs via Blogger. Is that Google Reader??? Now I'm panicking.

Starting Over, Accepting Changes - Maybe said...

I am usually fine with change and am not opposed to new things. However, Blogger changes sometimes confuse me but I usually find a way around it. I will see what the changes are and make a decision to continue on or possibly throw in the towel if it is just too much for my slowly shrinking mind to accept.

I've got Feedly and love it too... It does everything I want it to... I have heard good things about Bloglovin' but have never checked it out. Glad you like it.

How in the world can yo follow 360 blogs? Gosh--I could never do that. I keep my followers list at about 100 --and even that is too much for me to visit regularly. Good Luck.

Hugs,
Betsy

I too am quite confused. I thought that google reader was separate form following blogs on blogger. I certainly hope so. I really don't want to joing yet another site. It's enough with what I already have. Hopefully blogger will clarify that for all of us.

I am using Feedly and am very happy with it. In fact, more so than I ever was with Google Reader. I did that almost immediately when I heard Google Reader was going away because I wanted plenty of time to try several options and make a choice. Feedly was the first I've tried and I don't plan to change. You aren't the first person who has told me they really like BlogLovin.

I am using it right now - the only trouble is sometimes it lets me leaves comments and sometimes I have to fight to leave a comment - have you had that problem? sandie
